23. MOA

<Jake looks everywhere for SH>

JK: Hey is that you SH?  I can't believe it.  Mom gave us permission to make out.

Man: What?     JK: OMG. Sorry, wrong person.

JK: <runs away embarrassed>  OMG. What did I just do?  <goes to his room for recon from his window. How do I explain this to SH and my parents?>

SH: <txt Jake> Where are you?    

JK: <2 hours later - txt back> I'm in my bedroom spying from the window. <hiding>

SH: Why?  Your parents are looking for you.  Come down, they're serving food.      

JK: Ok.    SH: What happen?  Wait let me guess.  You accidentally outed us?  <laughing>

JK: I'm afraid to ask. How did you know?     SH: <looks over to his Mom> Your Mom is laughing with her friends over there.  <looks over to the other area where his Dad was> Your Dad is enjoying himself also.  Apparently, there's a rumor that we're a couple. <chuckles>

JK: Oh, no. I'm so embarrassed.  <covers his face in shame> How did Mom and Dad find out?

SH: <laughing> Apparently, people were going up to your Mom and Dad congratulating them about their son being in a relationship with a self-made gold medal champion celebrity figure skating prince who is now in a monster rookie kpop idol group called Enhypen. Man, google is the bomb.

They kept calling me over and introducing me to people, saying we both recently debuted with Enhypen and the fandom likes to ship us together.

Yeah, your parents did damage control.  They know we can't be in a real relationship in public.  Your parents were also asking where you were.

JK: Thanks. How did people know it was you, I just said your first name.

SH: People know me, and others might have googled us.  It spread like wildfire.

JK: Oh. <goes to Mom>     Mom: What happen Jakey, I thought you didn't want it to come out and I'm sure your company would have had a problem with that?

JK: I don't. But thanks for damage control.  I thought someone else was SH and told the person you were ok if SH and I were in a relationship.  The mask was a dumb idea.

Mom: Oh.  Go talk to your Dad, he was asking for you and SH earlier.

JK: Hi Dad.    Dad: Well congrats on your relationship, but I would have preferred to be told first, instead of last.  So is it real, or just a gimmick?

JK: Sorry, Dad. Thanks for helping with damage control.  I accidentally talked to the wrong person, because of the mask.  It's just part of the business to ship members together.

Dad: I don't know Jake, your Mom seems to have high praises for SH?  I didn't drive you all that way to the audition 15 months ago for you to miss out on life.

JK: What?     Dad: So SH, if you were dating my son, tell me what's so special about him, I don't watch the show like his Mom, and I don't know how much of it was acting?

SK: Well, Sir, there aren't too many people like Jake. I admire him a lot. He's pure, kind, loyal, smart, hard-working, ambitious, and unpretentious.  We have the same personalities, we like the same things like working out, we share the same values, and have the same goals in life.  <plus he's got a hot a*>

Dad: His Mom keeps saying he got his smarts from her, but you can see he got his good looks from me. Haha.  <Jake smiled and nodded>  I'm not crazy about this idol-making business.  But Jake wanted to try it, so here we are.  You seem more mature than Jakey.  Anyway, he's a good kid with a tender heart, watch over him.    SH:  <SH nodded> Yes, sir.

Dad: <hugs Jake> Jakey if I forget to tell you I love you, do me a favor and record and play it back when you need to, if you're not getting enough from SH.  <SH wondering if that was a backhanded diss and approval at the same time> Now you 2, run along and have some fun.  Oh, and Jake call your Mom over for me, we had a bet.

JK: <hugs his Dad> Thanks, Dad.   Ok.

<later that night>

JK: Hey, Mom, what did you bet with Dad.     

Mom: I bet he wouldn't be able to stay civil talking to you 2.     JK: Thanks Mom.

Mom: Jake your the type who gives a lot of love and affection. But don't deny yourself of it either. When you were younger, you met a boy in Seoul for the summer, and when you came back, you missed him so much that you fell into a depression, I had to get you Layla to help you heal.

JK: Why don't I remember that.  Mom: I don't know. You were young. I don't want you to fall back into that depression if you lose someone you love again.

JK: <went to SH room> My mom said when I was young I met a boy in Seoul, but when I came back, I fell into a depression, but I don't remember it.

SH: Strange, my mom told me the same thing, that I had met a boy over the summer, but he had to leave, and I fell into a depression, but I don't remember it, either.

<Both looked into each other's eyes, trying to remember, searching for each other, wondering why they couldn't remember, drawing back into their memory, further, and further, searching for answers. 

But at that moment, SH reached out his hands and held Jake's face with both hands, realizing he needed to lead, needed to kiss Jake's lips for answers, and as they kissed, memories of that moment, shared dreams, and past lives came rushing back.

The kiss was the union of the 2 souls separated for centuries, separated each time, without fulfilling their love and destiny, re-occurring each time in different gender and circumstances with the ill-fated situation/separation repeating itself.

But this time it was different, this time they fought harder, they search further, they struggled together, they persisted, they were willing to open their heart and soul to each other.  They took the first step toward their destiny together re-awaken.>

<This was not the end, but the beginning of their journey together as awaken souls.>
