"So you didn't snog him?"

"No."

"Not even a quick one?"

"Nope."

"Not even a peck?"

"No, June, not even a peck." Alice was doing her best not to laugh, but it was hard when she was being interrogated as such. The Ravenclaw girl was practically on top of her asking questions.

"But why?" The girl groaned and flopped back onto the grass beside her. "That was your big date! That was important!"

"Are you meeting him again?" Dorcas was lay on her front, head in her hands, legs in the air waving back and forth. She'd been sat like that for almost thirty minutes now and how she was still comfortable, Alice wasn't sure.

The Gryffindor sighed. "I'm not too sure you know. We didn't organise anything..."

"There's a but coming. I sense it in there. Spit it out." The Hufflepuff was never one for patience.

Alice smirked slowly. "But he said he would like to see me again."

June let out a joyous scream and sat right back up again. "YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD US THAT FIRST!"

It was nearing evening, and the three friends had found themselves a spot under the big oak tree by the lake to talk about Alice's date the day before. She hadn't seen them yesterday for dinner (Dorcas had some prefect meeting and June's quidditch practice ran over) and they'd spent all morning trying to get that week's homework done without distraction, which meant now was time for the report of her time with Davey that the two girls had been so heavily anticipating. There had been a similar sort of questioning from Marlene, Mary and Lily in their dorm, but it had been a lot more easily avoidable than this one.

"Sorry, I was too busy being bombarded by questions to get a word in." Alice let her own head fall back onto the grass. Above them the sky was turning an orange sort of pink, it was quite beautiful.

"Okay, this is good though! You can kiss him then!"

She let out a small grumble. "What's so good about kissing anyway?"

"What's so- Hold on. Alice, have you never kissed anyone before?" The surprise in Juniper's voice made the girl suddenly feel very stupid. She knew it wasn't intentional, but suddenly she wanted to talk about something very different. "Dorcas, have you?"

"Yep." Was Dorcas' response- short and sweet, though Alice already knew the answer to that.

"Alice?"

"No. Not yet." She didn't think it was a bad thing, not really. After all, she was only fifteen. Plenty of people don't kiss until they're like twenty and that's completely fine. Right? Besides it was quite a nerve-racking thing: how does it even work? How do you kiss someone?
