"Was that Viper?!" My mother gasps as we walk inside.

"How could be though?" my father said.

"Maybe because they only presumed she was dead. Besides it might not of even be her." I huff. Then I walk off pretending to sulk.

I go into the study since I know it'll be quiet in there.

Or at least I thought it would be.

"Draco?" I look up and see Sabrina poke her head around the door.

"What do you want Sabrina?" I sigh.

"I wanted to know if you were ok actually. I heard they called off the searches for your ex." She says.

"Oh. Well I'm ok." But she still walks over and sits down next to me.

"Then why are you in here all by yourself?" She asks and I fidget.

"Cause I don't know what else to do. Arranging a marriage I'm not comitted to just feels wrong." I sigh. But why did I tell her the truth.

"You still love her don't you." She sighs.

"Of course I still love her. And I can't stop. This engagement isn't fair on either of us so why are we going through with it?" I say.

"Because like it or not Draco are fathers are powerful. Your dads the second most powerful and mines the third." She says.

"Wait if my dads second and yours is first who's the most powerful?" I've never actually known who it was and her eyes widen a little.

"You don't know?" She says. And I shake my head.

"Do you?" I ask.

"Yeah, here follow me it's easier if I show you." She says and grabs my arm.

We ended up at her place and she dragged me into the library at hers.

"You can't tell anyone I showed you this." She hisses and I nod.

She takes out her want and mutters a spell I don't recognise. Then I watch as some of the books fall away and reveal a hidden tunnel.

"Stay close." She says as she lights up the end of her wand.

She stops and turns on a light to a hidden cave right in the middle is a statue of a woman.

"What is this?" I question and Sabrina sighs.

"Sit down Draco." She sighs.

"Why?" I question.

"Because I'm about to tell you about Voldemort's secret sister." My eyes widen in shock.

"What?!" I yell. She just nods and pulls out a book. And begins to read.

When Merope Gaunt (a descendent of Salazar Slytherin) was left by her husband whilst she was pregnant because he found out she was a witch she had Tom riddle and left him at an orphanage. Well after that she disappeared. She fell i love this time to a wealthy wizard. And they then had a daughter.

Her parents died from an unknown illness and because of this she became the new joint heir of Slytherin. She tracked down her brother many times and even ruled by his side for a short while but they never revealed she was his sister.

Then she fell in love. He was an ex Slytherin student but he was an honest and good man. He'd made a fortune from his love of animals that wizards and witches looked down on.

So she faked her death and ran off with him to get away from her brother. She turned her life around and shared her gift with the man.

Voldemort could talk to snakes but she could talk to any animal she chose. Her favourites though were the reptilians. She changed her name to his when they got married making her past impossible to trace back to her. She was safe.

The two had a daughter who inherited her mother's gift. Only she could only talk to reptiles.

Then one day one of Voldemort's loyal goons found them both making the connection with their gift and killed them.

And that was the end to the Slytherin line.

*present time*

"Or so they say." She says.

"What do you mean?" I ask. My heads still spinning from the story.

"Oh come on Draco I know Viper is alive. Connect the dots. She had a pet dragon at school and yet it never went through it's rebellious phase. All dragons go through their rebellious phase. So why didn't hers. Maybe it was because she was able to talk to him." I raise my eyebrow.

"No now your insane." I say as I stand up.

"Am I though. Haven't you ever wondered how she got in to the common room in her first year without the password. Or why she can calm down the dragons. Or why she was so good in Hagrids lessons. Or why her mother was killed!" She says.

"Enough!" I yell in anger. "I refuse to believe that Viper is in anyway connected to such evil. Viper was a dedicated, caring and intelligent student at Hogwarts and that's that. Any thing else is a coincidence. So I suggest you leave it at that." I hiss.

After that we walked back upstairs and went out.

"Come on I'll walk you home." Sabrina says.

"I don't need you to walk me home." I complain.

"Ugh just come on." I roll my eyes and follow her. She walks us through the busiest part of town.

"So you really don't believe me?" She asks.

"Nope" I says.

"And you still love her?" She asks.

"Yep." I say.

She stops and turns around. I stood and she looks me in the eyes.

"Well then, I guess she'd really hate this." She says and before I can question it she pulls me closer and kisses me.

Then I realise why. Suddenly cameras are flashing and microphones are being shoved towards us as she lets me go. This will end up all over the news by morning!

I have to go find Viper before she sees this and gets the wrong message but Sabrina doesn't let me go and instead pulls me into another kiss.

Before I know it I'm back at the manor trapped by my parents congratulating me for moving on and Sabrina trying to get me to believe her.

Before I knew it it was morning and I was running out of time. So I put a sleep potion in everyones breakfast so they'd be asleep for a few hours and ran to go find Viper before it was too late.
