I woke up in my room as Mareena Titanos but I felt the weight of the silent stone. I woke up and breathed heavily. Memories flood back.

"She's awake." A healer says. Its Wren Skonos. She leaves, probably to inform someone.

"How are you, my lady?" A maid asks.

"I'm fine." My voice is raspy. The maid instructs me to drink water and eat the bread and cheese. I do so only to regain my energy. I know they won't drug me again. They need me to answer questions. I am allowed to take a shower and dress.

Well, first time for everything. I'm a prisoner. And I have no idea what they will do. Most likely Farley and the Scarlet Guard do not know. This was not expected. I need to send a message to them to notify them of that little weasel Maven.

My heart breaks a little.

I did love him.

I am escorted with my mini army of Arvens. It's time to bring out my badass side a little more. No one knows this, but I've always been a bookworm. And all the secrets are in books after all. Julian was the one person who understood. I hope he's alright. Lucas too.

I straighten myself, remembering Blonos's training. I have an advantage. Silent Stone doesn't work on me.

Of course, it has a cost. But doesn't everything?

I await waiting for orders. I see Evangeline glaring, with some disgust on her face. She knows I'm a red. As does Ptolemous. One of them was probably the one who stabbed me. I look straight ahead to the King remaining confident.

He seems surprised by the way I hold myself. Good, he should be. My mouth twitches with a smirk but I smother it.

"Lady Mareena Titanos, you are accused of working with the Scarlet Guard and my son in the bombing. How do you plead."

"I don't. I allowed that to happen. I knew what was to happen. What I did not wish to happen was for innocent people to be murdered." I say crisply and swiftly.

"Yet you save my life, why?" I almost glance to Cal. He has no one.

"Elara Merandus killed Coraine Jacos. To allow her son to ascend the throne. That cannot happen. I did not allow you to be murdered because I will not allow Maven Calore to ascend the throne, not as long as I am alive. Neither of them will have any true power in Norta." I say.

"You say that, yet you stand here a prisoner of the crown. Accused of murder and accomplice. A common red, turned princess. I can only imagine your parents disappointment. I can only blame myself. You are but a child." Oh, so he wants to continue that game?

"The reds raised me. Most are slaves here. Of course I have to help them. The deaths were not expected. Neither was the betrayal." I say truthfully.

"And what of your ability? The Arven had been silencing you. How is it possible for you to use your ability?" He asks.

"A distant relative of Et-my father was an Arven. The blood is in me. It may have something to do with that. I am immune to the abilities of Arvens."

"Very well. You are pardoned for your crimes as it is understandable. As the silence ability does not work on you, it seems to weaken you. Your sentence is to wear Silent Stone manacles until we find we can trust you. You will marry my older son Tiberias the 7th, and bear his heirs. After, you will ascend the House Titanos, being the sole heir. It seems like Nora Nolle, you have an exceptional power that is incredibly rare. Ethan himself had a powerful ability. You will bear the heirs of a reign of powerful Calores. You are dismissed. The wedding is to take a fortnight from today."
