Devon's POV

After we dropped the girls off at their houses, Noah dropped me off at mine. I was startled when we pulled up to my house, because I assumed I was going back to his. I looked him in the eye, and he looked sorry that he had to take me here. I was slightly hurt that he had to take me back to hell.

"What the fuck?" I asked, staring at my house,

"Sorry man. Family is visiting tonight. If yah need me call." He said. I nodded, and got out of the car.

I walked up my driveway, hearing Noah pull out. I saw one car here, but didn't know whose it was. I kept walking noticing barely any light coming out the of the house. I took a breathe, opening the door as quietly as possible. I walked silently down the hall to the sound of a tv. I saw my dad was sitting in his chair, beer cans littering the floor. He seemed to be passed out, so I turned around and walked toward the steps. Did no one clean here? I walked up the steps, and I realized who the mystery car belonged to, It was either my sister's boyfriend of the hour or my mom's boyfriend of the hour. I heard the bed squeaking coming from my moms room, and wrinkled my nose in disgust. I walked towards my sister's room. Anna left a note on the bed, so I picked it up.

Dear Devon,

I am at Trenton's house for the night. Don't come find me. Be home in the morning.

XoXo,

Anna

I crumpled it up, and sighed. I walked to my room. Everything seemed untouched, which I was thankful for. I turned on my IPod, looking through my playlists. I saw one titled Leda, and I smiled. I would listen to it tomorrow, I decided. I turned on the song Home by Three Days Grace. I tried to tune out the awful noises coming from my moms room. I put it on repeat and plugged it into my speakers.

I'll be coming home

Just to be alone

Cause I know you're not there

And I know that you don't care

I can hardly wait to leave this place

No matter how hard I try

You're never satisfied

This is not a home

I think I'm better off alone

You always disappear

Even when you're here

This is not my home

I think I'm better off alone

Home, home, this house is not a

Home, home, this house is not a home

By the time you come home

I'm already stoned

You turn off the TV

And you scream at me

I can hardly wait

Till you get off my case

No matter how hard I try

You're never satisfied

This is not a home

I think I'm better off alone

You always disappear

Even when you're here
