"Hey Jungkook!"
"What do you want Jin?" Jungkook asked his older friend teasingly while stifling a yawn.
A chuckle on the other side of the phone made him to raise his eyebrows in curiosity as to why he didn't hear any angry retort yet.
"I've got good news for you."
"What, you got a girlfriend?" Jungkook asked jokingly, still finding it funny that Jin was in love with a girl he didn't even knew well.
"Nah, something better." Jin clicked his tongue in excitement and this perked up the attention of Jungkook.
"Did you perhaps find the girl you were searching for?"
Jin could admit he was confused for a second when he heard Jungkook's anticipation in his eager questions regarding his crush. He nevertheless hummed in agreement when he recalled the beautiful girl.
"I also got something for you."
"What's it?"
"The favor you asked me regarding your assistant."
Jungkook almost immediately sat up straight, pressing the phone closer to his phone as he glanced at the door. You had not arrived so it looked safe to talk the topic with Jin.
"I am listening."
"Its better to give you in private so I will meet you later."
Jungkook opened his mouth to oppose but shut it when he realised that Jin could be right. Maybe it was better that way.
"Fine. See you later then." Jungkook answered gruffily.
"I thought you were happy?" Jin asked, somewhat confused at his friend's sudden change in mood.
"Yeah I am....I guess." Jungkook replied unsurely.
Without further ado, he cut the call before even saying goodbye to the other person properly when you entered the office room, startling your boss.
Jungkook sat there, stunned at your sudden appearance while he tried to act like nothing ever happened to him.
"Good morning sir. I see you are early today?"
"Y-Yeah you can s-say that." Jungkook suddenly started laughing awkwardly, making you feel flabbergasted.
His behavior was really odd today but maybe you were overthinking. So you gave him another smile before you sat down on your seat and grabbed some files to work on.
Jungkook quietly released a breath he didn't knew was holding and massaged his forehead, a feeling of guilt and uneasiness stirring up in him.
"Are you okay sir?" You asked your boss, hoping he was not sick.
"I am good. But clear my schedule for the evening because I have to meet someone."
