Tina leaves abruptly after being put on the spot at the hands of Bette. Left in the distance Bette recollects how everything in her life has ended in dismay. Alone in realness the wall that she has built over the last few years begins to dissipate and she for once can't contain the emotion. Who am I she calls out to herself. Falling in grief once again she can feel the depression seeping in and she doesn't fight it. It seems as though this last time was her moment of acceptance. Letting go to be succumbed by truth.

Interrupted by Shane letting herself in obnoxiously without discretion. Becoming best friends through their years of evolution Shane needs no cue to reach in and comfort her friend. Vulnerable herself as she sees so much of the hurt that she has herself projected on to the many women in her past . Bette gathers herself to weakly make way for the cabinet of liquor. "Have another" Bette offers and Shane gladly accepts and dangles a bag of earthly medication which had also become a weakness for Bette.

They blow and swallow their secrets enchanted by the banter between them. Bette lays against Shane's sleek frame and verbally ponders "Do you know what it's like to not be alone"? They both look at each other with heavy eyes tear shredded and vacant. The words not spoken answers the question both already knew the answer to. This was comfort; but not emotion, the things they most lacked, but also made them mirror images. This was friendship that had lasted through everything and the bond was unspoken and undeniable.
