"Tell me where Selene and her friends are hiding," interrogates Levana. She can't control me, no matter how hard she tries. I'm safeguarding myself by not letting in emotion.

But I can't give up their weaknesses or location. Otherwise, there will never be a day where anyone can live happily ever after. I need to do this, for Winter...and anyone else. "No," I tell her.

"Tell me where Selene and her friends are hiding," seethes Levana.

"No," I say again. I can tell that she's struggling to get a hold of me. I smile a little bit. Levana sees it.

"Okay. If mind control isn't going to work, then maybe you can be persuaded by torture."

"That won't work on me. I'll risk anything to keep my information s secret." I gave a little smirk.

"I will not allow to be treated like an idiot. We'll see how you react after a weeks of imprisonment and fear. Then you'll heed my request."

Two guards comes up behind me and grasps my wrists, handcuffing them together. I don't struggle against them. It would be hopeless.

They push me down the hall and into the prisons beneath the palace. They shove me in my cell. I hear the thunk of the metal door clanging into place, and the jangle of keys as they lock my door.

I take a look around. The walls are made of regolith and the only source of light was the small window in my cell door. There's a metal bed set in a corner, and a sink and toilet in another. I sit down on the cold and hard bed.

I sit there for a while. I got bored eventually, so I start thinking about her. Of her beauty, kindness, and pure soul. I think to myself that this is for Winter. I'm protecting her secrets.

What felt like an eternity passed, and I am still sitting in the same position I was in before. Then I hear a crash and a thud of some bodies hitting the ground. A shadow blocks the light from the window. I hear the jangle of keys and then someone enters my cell.

He's a middle-aged man, with a buzz cut and wire-rimmed glasses. He has some bulk on him. I just stared at him. He stretched out his hand and asks, "You coming or what?" I never knew people in their thirties use this kind of slang.

I think for a while. "Why are you here?"

"Look, kid, I'm your only chance of escape. I got all the security cameras monitoring our escape disabled, and I knocked out a couple of guards. You coming or what?"

"How do I know if I can trust you?"

"Ever heard of the Seven Dominations?"

I gasp. I heard that name while roaming the streets.

I take his hand and he pulls me up. "You made the right choice," he says.

"I doubt it," I mutters. The Seven Dominations were a rumor, although some say the organization is real.
