There she stood in front of the interviewer waiting to be questioned after her victory against some big shot high school.

"How did you do it?"

"Do what?"

"How did you ever swim up from below rock bottom?"

The girl laughed, "That's blunt. But I have a question for you, before I answer your question."

"U-Um alright, go ahead."

"Have you ever felt completely and utterly useless?"

"Figures. People can say they have, but it's not possible, if you can ask them that question and they can answer it they're not useless, because they just answered your question."

"O-Oh I see."

"Do you?"

"Y-Yes. And what about you? Haven't people ever told you to give up?"

"Constantly. But I wouldn't be here if I was an obedient teen now would I?"

"I-I guess not."

"But there have been times where I thought I was useless. But then I would remind myself that I could breathe and that I had a beating heart."

"But doesn't everyone do those things, unless they're dead of course."

"Yeah, but that just means that no one in this world is useless." The girl smiled for once, "A friend once told me that if anyone can do those two things, they are therefore not useless."

"Your friend. Were they nice?"

"Oh they are my life. If not for them I would be dead already."

"So given the topic has anyone ever told you that you weren't needed, or have you ever had teammates telling you they didn't need you."

"Oh yeah, everyone. Everyone has said something like that to me."

"Who. Exactly."

"Oh I'm not a snitch or anything, but those people I can tell you have changed my life drastically."

"Oh. And how exactly?"

"There were times where I was close to giving up completely-"

"Like suicide?"

"Oh yes. But then I would think, wouldn't I just be completely useless if I stopped breathing and my heart stopped beating?"

"I-I suppose."

"So I was never dumb enough to do something like that it's unthinkable in my eyes."

"O-Okay, next question. You are friends with the Miya twins, correct?"

"Yes. They are very dear to me, they are actually the ones who helped me swim back up from the sea of my sorrows. I am forever grateful.
