Mirais POV:
These last few days have been extremely boring. Apart from classes, I haven't had the chance to go anywhere else, thanks to my parents new rule that Arina and I should stay at home and "study". When really they were making sure Arina was out of her mothers reach.Friday, we were in the cafeteria, eating and chatting, though Arina stayed silent for most of it.
"Why on earth do we have tests already?! Its barely been a week!", Mari complained, slamming her face onto the notebook on her desk.
"You guys have it easy Mirai, Mari and I are dying over here!", Adrien complained with her. The last year at the school has always been infamous for being the most difficult, with the very first year being in second place. It was probably very nerve-wracking to be in their last year of high school, especially since they're soulmates.
"Well at least you don't have a lot of classes per week.", Nate shrugged, not even looking up from his book, "Mirai and I have 7 classes every day."
"Oof. That sounds horrible.", Mari winced, taking her notebook and shoving it into her backpack.
"Eh, its manageable.", I shrugged, taking a bite out of my sandwich.
Suddenly a new voice joined the conversation, a familiar high pitched one, "Hi!"
"Hey Soph!", Arina greeted as said girl gave her a big hug.
I rolled my eyes, but still happy that Arina at least had a friend. Sophia sat with us the whole week and the two always chatted about shows and whatnot. Her voice was starting to get annoying. And the constant touches were getting on my nerves. Suddenly the two stood up and excused themselves, saying that they'll go to the bathroom.
Arina's POV :
"I'm really sorry for pulling you away like that, I honestly haven't talked to anyone else much.", Sophia smiled sheepishly, as we walked together down the hall with her hugging my arm.I shrugged, petting her hand, "It's okay. I wasn't making much conversation anyway."
"Aren't they your friends? I always see you walking home with the black haired girl.", she started to ramble, but caught herself, laughing sheepishly, "Ah, sorry if that's weird. I've just seen you leave school together."
I shrugged, "It's alright. I actually live together with Mirai."
"Oh, really, why? Do you live far away? Are they your host family?", she perked up, clasping her hands together.
"Something like that."
We made it to the bathroom, my heart in my throat. I froze, filling up with fear, so much that my hands started to shake. The two girls turned to us and a smirk made its way to Sabrina's face once she saw me, "Why hello there Ari. Made a new friend did you?", she mocked and turned to Sophia.
"You're standing on the wrong side of the line sweetheart.", Adeline said, before taking Sophia by the arm and shoving her out of the bathroom and I heard her protest while Sabrina pulled me back, pushing me against the wall, hand clutching my throat, "Blake has been talking a lot about you. It's getting on my fucking nerves."
"I-I'm sorry.", was the only thing I could get myself to say. Her hold tightened.
"I told you stay the fuck away from him, didn't I?!", she yelled suddenly, startling both me and even Adeline it seemed.
"Its not my fault, he's in my class!" That outburst earned me a harsh slap in the face.
"Don't make me mess up your pretty little face more and listen to me.", Sabrina then threw me to the ground and I landed on my arm, "He's my soulmate, got it? He's mine!", she exclaimed again, emphasizing the word 'mine' as she kicked me in my stomach, "Don't say I didn't warn you."
