Mirais POV:
I was sitting at home in the living room with my dad, Arina cuddled into my side. My mother was not home yet, which worried the hell out of my dad, though he couldn't do anything about it. The car was with my mom and going there with a taxi had the potential of them passing each other.

Suddenly his phone rang, hand trembling as he answered. His face palled and the phone dropped out of his hold. When I got up and picked it up, the call was still going.

"Hello? Sir?", a voice called from the other side.

"What did you tell my dad?", I asked, my heart practically beating out of my chest.

The call on the other end went a bit quiet, before the woman answered, "Sweety, your mother is in the hospital."

"W-What?"

The nurse proceeded to tell me the hospital name, hanging up afterwards. My hands shook as I put the phone down.

"Mirai? What happened?", Arinas panicked voice was so quiet to me, but still there.

I felt tears stain my cheeks as I rushed over to the hallway, getting my shoes and jacked on as quickly as I could, "Come on we have to go!"

"Where?", Arina asked.

"Dad, come on!", I called, practically sobbing at this point.

"Dad!"

My father nodded repeatedly, wiping away his tears before getting up and getting his own shoes and coat on.

Arina made her way over to me, shaking, "Whats going on?"

"My mother, she-", I could barely talk, my soulmate quickly interrupting me.

"I'm coming with you."

I nodded and let her past me.

The taxi ride there, I couldn't help but think the worst, as I cried my eyes out. Arina was crying silently as well, whilst trying to comfort me as best she could. Once we got there, all three of us rushed out, heading for the entrance. After checking at the front desk, we rushed upstairs to the room where they said she was brought. As we reached the hallway, my heart almost stopped. In the distance, a mobile bed was being pushed to a room, my mother on it.

My father was almost immediately at the doctors side, asking frantically if his wife was okay.

I tuned out the doctors voice, too focused on my moms unmoving body.

"Mirai.", I heard my dad call. Turning my head, I saw him standing next to the door, a small smile on his face.

I went over to him, pulling him into a tight hug that he returned, "She's going to okay. The doctor said that it's nothing too serious. They'll fix up the wound. Your mother will be fine."

Nodding, my arms tightened around him, tears flowing against my will.

Later that evening, we were sat on chairs in front of the room, all of us tired, but refusing to leave.

Suddenly a police officer approached us, "Pardon me. Are you Lucas Evans?"

My dad nodded, his eyes fixated on the floor.

"We'll need your report as well as the victim's report when she wakes. We caught the attacker, but it's procedure to do this I'm afraid."

Dad sighed, before finally looking up, his eyes red from crying, "Who was it? The attacker I mean."

"We have identified her as Eleanor Ward."

My father nodded, before getting up, "I'll give a report right away. I want that woman back in prison as quickly as possible."
