Arinas POV:
After waking up on a Friday morning, with the biggest headache ever, I went downstairs in my pjs. Not only did I not sleep well, but when I woke up after barely any sleep, Mirai wasn't next to me and it was almost time for our first class.

"Good morning sweetie. ", auntie Haruko said cheerfully from the kitchen, frowning when she looked up at me. She turned off the stove as I took a seat on my chair on the dining table, "My head hurts, a lot. Can I stay home today?"

Haruko made her way over to me, before putting her hand on my forehead, checking my temperature. She gasped and pulled away her hand, putting it on my cheek, "Arina, you're burning up. Stay here, I'm gonna go get the thermometer."

But before she could, Mirai showed up, holding her head, "Mum, I threw up."

"You too? Have you both been dressing warm?", Haruko asked, looking between us. I cringed, remembering the many times I wasn't dressed for the weather and I realized that this cold made a lot more sense. Mirai tried to make an excuse, "It's still barely autumn mum, it's not that cold.", but to no avail. After a bit of scolding and Haruko rushing to get us blankets along with the thermometer, we ended up on the living room couch with her refusing to go to work.

"I'm sure it's nothing serious. I'm feeling better now, really.", I tried to reassure her, but she just shook her head and sighed, taking her phone out, "I'm gonna call my boss and say that I can't come to work today, I can't just leave you like this."

Mirai rolled her eyes and took the phone out of her hand, "Mum, its fine. Dad will be home at like 12 anyway. You don't have to miss work. We can take care of each other, until dad arrives and if the situation gets somehow worse, we'll call the ambulance. Okay?"

That seemed to convince her at least somewhat, but she still looked unsure. After a few more moments of unsure looks between me and Mirai, she sighed and nodded, taking her phone from Mirai, "All right, but I will be making some soup and turning on the air-conditioning, also you two are not moving from this couch unless you need the restroom, understood?"

"Aye, aye, captain.", Mirai saluted and smiled at her mom before laying back on the couch, eyes closed.

"Are you feeling nauseous?", the words barely left my mouth, my eyes also coming to a close thanks to the headache.

"Yeah...", Mirai sighed and I heard her shift, before her head landed on my lap, "Can I just, lay for a bit?"

I hummed in reply, combing my fingers through her hair, whilst feeling the pull of unconsciousness and soon must've succumbed to it, as when I opened my eyes next, it was already 11:30. After a bit of tossing and turning, I finally managed to wake myself up fully, noticing that I was in fact laying down and that Mirai wasn't next to me. My headache was mostly gone and the nausea I felt was now thankfully nonexistent.

The smell of noodle soup washed over me and I stood up and stretched with a huge smile on my face. When I turned to the kitchen, I noticed Mirai siting on the dining table, looking down at her phone while she ate. As my footsteps neared her, she looked back at me with a small smile, "Are you feeling better?"

I smiled and walked over to sit down on my chair, "Yes. But I'm starving."

Mirai shook her head as I poured soup into the bowl until it reached the rim. I sighed happily, before leaning down to eat a spoonful, when suddenly my hair got pulled back, "Wait, your hair is gonna get soaked."

My body practically froze, as Mirai stood up behind me and gently pulled my hair back and tied it in a bun. Her cold hands trailed down to my neck, before she kissed my temple. A huge blush took over my face and ears and I felt so giddy that I squealed, putting my hands over my face. I saw my soulmate look at me from the corner of my eye, "Are you okay?"

Too embarrassed to speak I just nodded and she laughed a bit in response, "I love you.", she said in a cutesy voice, squishing me in a hug.

"I love you too.", I mumbled, my face still covered and red.
