Chapter 9

Mike was nearly at the Byers and El's new house. Him, Nancy and his mom, Karen Wheeler were all going there to meet up with them. Mike couldn't wait to hug Will again, he missed him a lot even though it's only been 2 weeks since they saw each other.

As for Will, he was bursting with excitement. He couldn't wait to see his boyfriend again. As for El. She wasn't very excited, she has locked herself into her room and hasn't and isn't coming out anytime soon. Will just wanted to talk to her about things, he loved her like as if she was his sister. Occasionally Will does feel guilty that he made Mike break up with her but then he realises that Mike loves HIM out of all people and he wanted to break up with El, it's not his fault for who Will and Mike love.

Suddenly there's a ring at the doorbell, Will snaps out of his thoughts and he leapt out of his seat and ran to the front door, Jonathan and Mrs Byers walking behind him. He opened the door fast and saw Mike there.

Will's face formed a smile, so did Mike's. Will ran forward putting his arms around Mike's neck hugging him tightly. Mike hugged back just as tightly, them both moving into the house while they were still hugging.

"I didn't know you two were this close."

Will and Mike pulled away from the hug and looked to the side to see Jonathan there smirking. "Oh shut up Jonathan. Please don't say anything."
Jonathan rolled his eyes, "like I would, I'm not that kind of brother." Will smiled as he watched Jonathan go over and hug Nancy. He looked back at Mike. Mike was beaming.

Will grabbed his hand and pulled Mike to his room.
Once they were inside, Mike grabbed Wills waist and got close to Will's face.
Will started getting a blush on his cheeks, "W-What are you doing?" Will stuttered. Mike was smirking, "don't you wanna make out?"
Will frowned when Mike said that, "I'm sorry Mike..but I don't want to make out just yet."

Mike pouted as he walked away from Will, crossing his arms across his chest, doing puppy dog eyes. Will rolled his eyes, he walked closer to Mike and put a hand on the back of his neck, he pulled Mike into a few pecks of kisses. Just as Mike was getting into it, Will pulled away and put a finger on Mike's lips, he was smiling. "Now. Lets just talk about life shall we?"

Mike smiles and nods, taking will's hand.

"You know where El is?" Mike asked Will, Will sighed when Mike asked. "She's been locked In her room ever since she found out you were coming."

"Wow..." Mike was shocked by what he heard. I guess he can see why El is doing it... "I should go talk to her." Mike said firmly, "it's been too long, I need to speak to her. Is that alright with you Will?"
Will nodded, "I guess I think it's a good idea too..." Mike saw Will's uncertainty, he grabbed his hands and bought it up to his lips and kissed it softly. "I'll be back. Where's her room?"
"It's just down the hall..it says El on it." A blushing Will said.

Mike smiled at Will's cuteness and got up still holding Will's hand, as he walked away he let go of Will's hand slowly. He left Will's room and looked down the hall and sees the door that says 'El'. Mike sighs and walks over there, he knocks on the door but he hears no response. He put a hand out his head thinking about what he should do.

He decided to open the door and look in there. She wasn't there...weird...
He walked back out and closed the door firmly, confused.
Mike walked forward to the living room to see if she was there.

She was.

El looked back and saw Mike. "Mike!" El said shocked as she stood up once she saw him. Mike gulped, "I-I wanted to talk to you El."
"What about?" El frowned, "about how you're mad at me?" Mike shook his head, "I wanted to apologise for breaking up with you. I know you probably didn't mean the things you said right?"

El nodded slowly, "your right...I didn't...I just- I will need some time to you know...process it." Mike nodded in understanding, "I get it I guess.." He looked back up to see El crying, she sits down on the couch putting her hands on her face. Mike sighed and walked up to her and sat down next to her, pulling her into his embrace.

El and Mike pulled away and El wiped her tears, "I-I want you to be happy Mike."
Mike smiled slightly, "I want you to be happy too, but your happy can't be with me..." El nodded, "I understand that Mike....but can we still be friends?"

"Of course El!"

El smiled and hugged Mike again.

Little did they know, Will was coming into the Living room seeing El in Mike's arms and him stroking her hair softly.

Will's heart is breaking while he's watching the scenes in front of him.
