Unexpected Concerns

Rough hard gravel echoed through out the chilly air as brilliant sunlight beamed upon a blue gemstone, clinking and swaying with Cotton's movements.

Holding a gift basket filled with goodies, her soft blue orbs stuck their gazes upon a worn parchment, the terribly written directions coursing her on her path.

Veering off the main road and into the underbrush, the lavender haired lass made it her top priority to follow the instructions on the letter, and to remain as discreet as possible.

It was a shame that her Husband couldn't tag along, his duties to the new recruits had really dragged him into a pit of work. The memory of the Knight whining and complaining while applying his uniform had her chuckling under her breath.

It's quite a shame... Cotton sighed, trailing her sad gaze past the tall lilacs which parted against her bell shaped dress. I wanted him to come along too. They would be happy to see him.

Would they? One half of herself whimpered, insecurity lacing it's tone.

Oh shush, of course they would! We've all gotten to know each other better. Besides, it has been a while since I've last visited!

Perhaps so, but what of Vivian? She barely talks to you.

The lavender haired woman huffed and gently swung her basket around as her thoughts traveled to the two siblings.

Vivian, compared to her younger sister Chroma, wasn't the most joyous or talkative character; but she was very kind and generous.

There was nothing to be worried about. It wasn't like the young woman held some sort of grudge or something.

She was just shy. She asserts, digging the heels of her boots into the side of the earthy hills. There is nothing more to analyze.

   If you say so.

As soon as her mind zipped it's mouth shut, the faces of the two sisters crept back into her musings.

Cotton knew the younger sister as a grand Brewer. Even though the jumpy lass had the tendency to become overexcited, she was definitely quite brilliant and well trained in the matter. Without a doubt, she could whip the perfect healing potion in just a few seconds!

Meanwhile, the older sister had a ton of experience on her job as an Enchanter. The extravagant blonde is exceptional in her work, to the point she could create just about anything based on her knowledge of Enchanted Artifacts!

The potion and the Enchanted Rhodonite was something she wished to show her appreciation to. It was thanks to them that the medication existed, and came on time. Otherwise, her poor Mother would have been deep in the earth by now.

Cotton wanted to thank the two sister's for helping her in her time of need. The lass didn't have a large range of friends, but Chroma and Vivian were two people who she cared for deeply.

That alone resulted in a strong desire to visit them and say her thanks in person.

But there was one thing she needed to ask, no-- demand on. Why in star's sake did they live so far away? The young Wife just couldn't help but constantly ponder upon what the reason could be. But of course, it wasn't her place to pry.

Whatever the it is, I just hope it's a good one.. She concludes, sitting against a looming oak for a brief break. Closing her eyes, she relaxed under the soft light of the woods, resting the woven basket upon her lap.
