I wake up way too early. I look around and grab my phone. I turn it on and the light blinds me, I don nothing about it but groan though.

5:30 Mon, Nov 2

Great, just great, a school day. I sling my legs over the side of my bed and stand up. I don't want to go to school.

It takes me a while to get ready but eventually I finish and wait for Clay to come pick me up so we can go. Just as I think that, I hear Clay laying on his horn in my driveway.

I get my stuff and head out the door. I hop into his car and I get to ride passenger since he hasn't picked up Nick yet. I look into the backseat and see Drista ignoring everything and playing on her phone with earbuds in. Typical 14 year old.

Clay turns the radio on and blares a song I don't know. I just stare out the window, knowing I only have 354 bitter days left with Clay.

Without even realizing any time even passed by, Clay drives into Nick's driveway and knocks his horn. Nick runs out and hops into the backseat.

"What's up, pissbabies?" Nick says, laughing. Clay just scoffs and Drista scoots as far from him as possible. I just shake my head and go back to the window.

I hate school. Thousands of kids that are horny and don't like each other crammed into a building that most everyone wants to commit arson to. And if that isn't bad enough, all the teachers are out for blood, not sympathizing for any student. And then the absolute cherry on top of this Hell sundae, the school food.

I heard from some kids who were there longer than me that everyone that ate the pizza a certain day ending up throwing it back up. Disgusting. (A/N, true story. Happened in elementary/primary school in my 4th grade year)

Walking the halls of this hell-hole could make anyone want cancer. Between the lockers with insults written all over them, the bullies messing with every scrawny kid, the awful stench of a bunch of kids not wearing deodorant, the kissing and making out in the bathroom, all of it makes me want death.

Thankfully, I have my friends. Clay is pretty popular so no one really messes with me. To be honest, most all of my friends are pretty popular. Zak is the captain of the baseball team, Darryl is the captain of the soccer team, and Nick is just straight-up popular.

Not me though, making friends has always been hard and having cancer makes my mum not wanting me to play sports, in fear that I am too 'fragile'.

I walk into my first period and see the class is already almost filled, me being one of the last few people to class. I go to my seat near the window and sit down. The bell rings and the teacher starts the lesson, saying things that most no one was attention to.

"-orge. George!" I flinch and look at the teacher who was calling my name.

"That's why you should be paying attention, class. You won't know what I'm talking about it you don't." The teacher says, anger laced in their voice. I hear a few giggles but ignore it and start trying to write down everything that's on the board.

I can't wait for this day to be over with.
