FRON NOW ON IT WILL BE GEORGE'S POV AGAIN UNTIL I SAY OTHERWISE.

Clay isn't at lunch. He hasn't texted me anymore after he sent 'I love y'. I know he was trying to say but I don't know if I believe it. And why does it look like he just stopped and sent the text anyways. Maybe he cares so little that he did just stop typing for lack of care.

No one else at the table has heard anything from Clay after about the same time I got that text. Drista isn't at school either.

Something isn't right. Something happened to them and I need to know what it is. Clay might have been a jerk but he's still my best friend. I can't just go on with life normally when I know something bad happened.

Gogy-Man: I know that I haven't been talking to you but I need you to tell me what happened. Why aren't you and Drista at school today?

Pissbaby: omg, hi George. Thank you for texting me again. I'm so sorry. I was going to go to your house and apologize when I got into a car crash. I'm doing fine right now though, just a few scars, nothing too bad.

Gogy-Man: you got into a car crash??? Why didn't you tell any of us?

Pissbaby: same reason you didn't tell anyone about your cancer I guess. I didn't want pity.

Gogy-Man: well, I'm coming to see you right now. I'm assuming you're at the L'Manberg hospital?

Pissbaby: yeah, I'm there. But I don't want you to skip school because I don't drive well.

Gogy-Man: too late.

"Guys, Clay got into a car crash. He's at the hospital right now." I say frantically as I gather my stuff from the lunch table.

"What? We have to go see him!" Darryl says concerned. Everyone grabs their stuff and we hurry out of the school. No one questions where we're going, thankfully. We head to the parking lot and get into Karl's car. Since Clay didn't drive us Karl drove us.

Karl drives us quickly but carefully knowing that the reason we're leaving is because of reckless driving.

We arrive at the hospital and go up to the nurse working the front desk.

"Hi, we're here to see Clay Anderson."

The nurse types some things into her computer and looks up and says

"Room 420. Poor kid has been here since yesterday morning. He's pretty beat up."

Great, just great. We rush to Room 420 and see Mrs. and Mr. Anderson sitting on chairs outside of his room.

"Kids, it's great to see you. He's not doing well and we wanted him to see you guys one last time incase he doesn't make it." Mr. Anderson says, his voice laced in sadness and sleepiness. I can imagine he probably didn't sleep last night.

"He'll be fine, Mr. Anderson. Clay is strong, he can make it through this." Darryl says. When I look at him I notice that he has tears building in his eyes.

"He hasn't been awake very much. The first time he's been coherent is when he texted you, George." Mrs. Anderson says, gripping her husband's hand tighter. I see her knuckles start to go white.

"Can we go see him now?" I ask, becoming very impatient. I don't care about the argument anymore, I care about him.

"It's one at a time. Drista is in there right now but when she comes out one of you can go in." Mrs. Anderson utters while fighting back tears. This can't be very easy for them.
