It was such a beautiful, enchanting night, the night when Percy and a few others find themselves stuck in a world of swordfights and medieval ladies and gents. With the aid of experienced apprentice ranger Will, his mentor Halt, the diplomatic Alyss...
You don't lock your apprentice in a cabin with no note or any way knowing where the heck you've gone or when you'll be back! And on top of that... HE TOOK ALL THE COFFEE BEANS. You do NOT do that. Just... no.
And so here I am. Stuck. In a random cabin. In a forest. Who knows where. Oh and I didn't mention... I DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHERE I AM!!!
Basically the gist of it is, one day I'm up in a tree(totally normal for Rangers), and Halt suddenly is below me and staring pointedly at me. Not like normal though... this time is... weird.
"What is it, Halt?" I ask swinging down from my perch on one of the stronger upper branches of the tree eventually landing practically silently in front of Halt.
"We're going somewhere," Halt explains then stops. So I wait. And wait. And wai- (stupid autocorrect trying to autocorrect it to Wal-Mart)
"So, where is somewhere?" I ask trying to understand what the heck is going on. Instead of answering, Halt walks a little ways away and walks Albert and Tug over. Seeing me, Tug trots forward and nudges my side lovingly. Laughing, I reach into a pouch at my side and take out a apple. At the possible prospect of a treat, Tug nudges my hand and winnies. I give it to him, still laughing, and watch as he devours it lightning quick. Distracted my mind begins to wander, eyes begin to flutter, and before I know it the ground is rushing toward me and my vision goes black.
And now I'm here. In this cabin. With no coffee.
...
That's it. I'm going to die.
Just kidding, just kidding...
But seriously, I need coffee. And maaaaaaybe Halt. Maybe. He miiiiiight be a little helpful. Maybe. ... Oh who am I kidding, I'm in a mysterious cabin, Halt's no where to be, there's no coffee, and I'm pretty sure I just heard creepy whisking right above me? I'm terried. Sure I'm some big hero, Will Treaty the young Ranger's apprentice who saved all of Araluen, but I'm still only a teenager! A teenager who like most normal people doesn't feel entirely at home with noises with strange origins and all that.
And so the only logical conclusion in this situation is escape the cabin. Using the end of my bow as a lever I attempt to pop the window open. It succeeds and I scramble over the edge looking over at a few inches drop down to a field of grass. Once down, I take a moment to survey my surroundings taking it all in within just a few seconds before mob my on to the pressing issues of which way to go.
And that's when I see it. It just laying there in the grass practically begging for investigating what it is. Walking over I pick it up and inspect it. Seems to be a jewel or gem of sorts, beautiful and enchanting. Magical and pulling me in and...

suddenly it's glowing. Not blinding glowing but rather soft sweet firefly glowing inside of it. As I watch the little lights flutter and flit around inside until they join together to display a peculiar image. It's grainy and hard to see so the only thing I can catch before the lights disappear altogether is a pair of ocean blue, sea green eyes that sparkle with mischeviousness and troublemaking. And then it's over. The little lights disappeared and disappear leaving the jewel full and without it's earlier lull and pull.
CRACK
I gasp and drop it watching it thud to a stop in front of me as right before me the jewel begins to crack and shatter and until nothing's there and I'm left staring in shock at the door where it had been only seconds before.
That 's when I feel a presence. Turning I see Halt preparing to bury him in questions before coming to a full, total stop staring in confusion at Halt.
"Halt?" I ask slowing my run over to him, " Who are they? "
