QUEEN OF HEARTS

CHAPTER 11

"Get your asses up!" I screamed. It was 7:00 and if these girls didn't wake up soon, we would be late for the shoot. Amanda, Oletha and Tshidi emerged in their gowns. Apparently Refiloe was still getting ready. The housekeepers had prepared breakfast buffet style. Oletha and I had a fruit platter while the others had croissants and coffee. Fifi emerged from her room in her gown, basically we were all in gowns. We had breakfast and ran over today's agenda before everyone left to get ready. We all changed in to tracksuits, another one of Fifi's requests. When everyone was ready, we got to the car we had hired and left for the beach. I was surprised when I saw Stones, apparently he was driving. We arrived at the beach where the shoot was taking place at 8:00. The area where the shoot was had been closed off so only we could use it. We all chose our swimsuits and went to get changed. I had gotten my braids taken down because Fifi had said I would need a weave for the shoot. I had gotten my own weave and was getting my hair done. The hairstylist cut my weave and made it shoulders length. Than she sprayed, curled and gelled it giving it a wet look. I had mine done in black. Amanda and Oletha had theirs blonde and Tshidi got hers black as well. Refiloe did hers white compliment her swimsuit. The shoot started at 8:55 and Refiloe went first to get her shots taken. We all sat at the mobile bar and watched and cheered. We made videos for Oletha's Instagram and talked about life. I went next and was sprayed with some type of oil that made me look wet. I had to lie on the sand and look at the camera. Then they made me stand under some shower and look like I was showering. When I returned, all the ladies cheered. "Girl are sure you were never a model?" Amanda asked. "I never was, not even in my past life love," I said. Oletha went next, then Amanda and then Tshidi. At around 13:00 they let us take a break and we had lunch and were back at it at 15:00. We did a group photo with a fake rock pile. Refiloe sat at the top while me and Oletha on the layer under her. Tshidi and Amanda stood next to the rock pile. We took at least 15 pictures of that and at 16:45 we went to shower and change back in to our track suits. We went to a restaurant at 17:30 and had an early dinner. "So manje Fifi, when are we getting the photo's to send to these men?" Amanda asked. "Tomorrow ladies, you'll be woken up by pings and your pics will magically appear," Refiloe said and we all cheered. We arrived back at the lodge at around 19:00. When we went inside, we could hear men laughing by the balcony, aii some men need lives. "Hi," Refiloe said and they all turned. "Oh hey baby," Mthokozisi said. "What are you guys doing here?" Fifi asked. "Hhawu Refiloe, can't we visit our women when we miss them?" Siya asked kissing Tshidi. "You can, if you are invited," I snapped and the guys laughed. "Well, surprise!" Andile said and the guys all cheered. All the ladies went to sit on their men but I was still mad at Andile so I sat on the floor next to him. "Hhawu wena Kea, why are you sitting on the floor?" Fifi asked. "There are no more chairs," I replied dryly. "Manje why don't you sit on Andile?" Amanda asked. "Ask him, he will tell you," I said standing up and leaving them in the room. Andile came in a few minutes later and stood at the door as I took of my shoes. "What do you want?" I asked. "I came to check up on you," he said. "Well I'm fine, just taking of my shoes," I said putting my shoes away and leaving the room. The party had moved to the beach and Amanda and I sat on the sand as we all drank, and laughed. Tomorrow was a new day.

Today we were supposed to go sight seeing but some of the ladies changed their minds. Amanda, Oletha, Qhawe and Mthunzi decided to go sight seeing together. Refiloe invited me to a beach day with her and I agreed, I didn't want to be stuck in a beach house with Andile. Fifi said Mthokozisi and Andile were playing pool together. Tshidi and Siya were out doing whatever. Fifi and I decided to go to a beach far from the beach house. "Okay friend, you go find a spot for us, I'm going to grab some wine from the car," Fifi said when we arrived at the beach. "Okay," I said and walked on the sand, carrying my flip flops in my hand. I walked on looking down at the sand then I noticed the beach was empty so I looked up. And there he was, standing next to a blanket and a pillow pile with a basket. I walked closer and stood in front of him, "Hi," he said. "What's going on?" I asked. "I just wanted to apologise for last night, I shouldn't have spoken to you like that, so I asked Refiloe help me set this up," he said. "So no wine I'm guessing," I said and he laughed. He gestured for me to sit and I did. "Strawberry?" he offered opening up the basket and I nodded. He fed it to me and I purposely bit him and laughed when he squealed. "Ouch Keabetswe! Why would you do that? Look I'm bleeding," he said showing me he's index finger. "That's strawberry, not blood Einstein," I said laughing. I took his finger and licked the strawberry off and he smiled. "Better?" I asked and he nodded. We spent the whole day at the beach, splashing in the water, eating, talking and laughing. He decided we should go home and we drove back to the beach house. When we got there, he opened the door for me and I got out. He went inside alone because Stones called me back and gave me a bottle of wine. "Mrs Hlophe left it here," he said and I took it from him. I went in and the house was pitch black. I reached for the lights and switched them on and I gasped at what I saw. There were rose petals on the floor with candles on either side of them. There was a note on the floor and I picked it up.
