I turned in my office chair as I typed furiously on my laptop, nxa Sandile was so incompetent. My phone pinged and my phone skipped a beat when I saw who it was, Kea.
Kea Moloi❤️️
Hey, just wanted to thank you for last night, I know you didn't want to come🩷
I smiled, last night she had dragged me to watch a cheesy romance movie at a movie drive in.
Me: It was my pleasure, I must say I enjoyed the time I spent with you.
It's true I had, it had been a week since our first dinner and we have had lunch, brunch, dinner, coffee, ice cream and movies. We weren't in a relationship but I knew I loved her still however I was nervous about asking her to be my girlfriend, so I haven't.
I decided to call her, I wanted to hear her angelic voice. "Hello?" she answered on the third ring. "Hey, where are you?" I asked tapping my pen on my desk lightly. "I just arrived at home." she said and I could hear her walking, and I heard her taking out her keys, "Lucky you, I'm stuck at the office." I said expecting her to reply or laugh, but she didn't I heard her gasp.
I frowned, "Keabetswe, are you okay?" I asked worried. "A-Andile, I think someone broke in to my house," I heard her say softly. I froze, no, how, why, who? "Uhm okay, Kea go to security and stay there, I'll be there in 8 minutes," I said already out the door. I heard her say 'okay faintly and I hung up.
I almost walked right in to Alicia, my assistant in the hallway. "Mr Mkhize, where are you going?" she asked flirtatiously batting her long, fake eyelashes at me. I used to not mind her flirting but ever since I met Kea, I just found it irritating. "Alicia, cancel my meetings for the day, ask Sticks to send security to Kea's place and cancel tomorrow's appointment's," I replied hurriedly. She opened her mouth to protest but I was already out the door.
Stones, my driver was already waiting for me. "Kea's house, drive!" I said urgently I texted Kea that I was on my way and in 7 minutes we were there. "Andile!" Kea exclaimed when she saw me. She led me to her room and we walked in. The couch was ripped and the kitchen had been raided, her T.V, radio and kettle were missing. She walked to her bedroom and found it locked. She sighed in relief that she had remembered to lock it. We walked in and everything seemed to be intact.
She sat down on her bed and leaned back, looking up at me. "Listen Kea, I don't think you should live here anymore," I said slowly. She cocked her head to the side and bit her lip, swinging her ponytail across the bed. "Mhmm, I will find a hotel until I can find a place to live," she nodding her head. "Asikho is'dingo salokho," I said looking down at her and she frowned. "There's no need for that, you can come live with me," I said repeated. She arched her eyebrow but kept silent.
I picked her up bridal style and she squealed as I placed her on her wardrobe and stood in between her legs. "Say yes please?" I begged. "Andile..."
"I won't accept no for an answer."
"Uhm okay, only until I found a place of my own," she said. I looked in to her eyes and smiled at her, "Okay Andile , put me down!" she said wriggling. "No!" I said defiantly. "Andile, I said yes to the living with you thing, can you please put me down!" she said laughing. "No!" I said once again. "Please! I'll do anything Andile! You know I'm scared of heights!" she said."Will you be my girlfriend?" I asked and she looked away. I immediately regretted my courageous moment. "A-Andile, I-I-I can't," she said twiddling her thumbs. I lifted her face with my finger. "Don't lie to me. Try again Keabetswe," I said all of my confidence returning. When she hesitated, I tickled her. She started laughing and wriggled in my grasp. "A-A-Andile s-s-st-stop! A-A-Andile! O-o-0kay, okay, okay. I'll b-be y-your g-g-girlfriend. P-please s-s-stop!" she stuttered. I smiled, finally she was mine.
