I yawned as I opened the front door, today had been a long day. I heard laughter and loud voices, argh, Ntate has people over, I hope they won't bother me. I walked towards the sound, oh they were outside. I froze when I saw Kgosi , my fiancée sitting and chatting with my father. Nxa, this nigga was sitting here chatting with my father when he was a lying bastard. I walked towards the table slowly, "Uhm, dumelang." "Ah! Ngwanaka, I was wondering when you would be home." my dad exclaimed. "Uhm Ntate, there was a problem at the market but it's solved now." I said raising my eyes to see Lerato sitting there flashing Kgosi her brightest smile. Nxa, backstabbing bitch, eating my food, in my father's house, acting holier-than-thou. I took a deep breath and went to sit in between my mother and Kgosi, I swear I felt like stabbing him then and there but I managed to calm myself down. "Eish, friend I would have gone with you, but I woke up and you weren't here." Lerato said smiling at me. Liar, I wanted to say because she hadn't slept at home but I ignored her. "It's okay motsoalle, I know you wake up late anyways." I said smiling as well. "Mmm, Lerato, you shouldn't make it a habit, your future husband doesn't want a woman who sleeps all day." says Kgosi's father, Ntate Buromo and Lerato giggles, "Eya Ntate." She said blushing. I sighed softly and started eating my Greek salad. "I'm so excited for the wedding you two." Lerato said smiling so sweetly, it almost gave me diabetes. "Sure you were, the same way you were excited to sleep with Kgosi." I said feeling myself bursting with anger. I didn't mean to say it aloud but I was tired of the happy family act that we were all doing. "What?! Me? Ah never! I-I-I" Lerato stuttered her eyes wide with shock and Kgosi looked down with shame, good he deserves to feel ashamed. "I-I-I would never hurt you friend ne-" Lerato started. "Shut up! Just shut up! You sit here giggling and smiling with me when you know what you were doing with Kgosi. I said rising from chair and staring, scratch that, glaring at her. "Kgosi, is this true." Ntate Buromo asks his son, him too rising from his seat. Kgosi was silent, "Ke eng Cat got your tongue?" I asked him angrily. "Eya Ntate, ke 'nete," Kgosi finally says. Clap once! "You know what, Ms Holier-than-thou le Mr Cheater, ke kopa letsamaye kontlong ena ." I said finally, they looked at each other hesitantly, "NOW!" I screamed when they didn't stand up. "And wena Lerato, expect liaparo tsa hao hosane. They both stood up and left, slamming the front door behind them. "Mr Moloi, ke kopa tsoarelo ka tsela eo mora oa ka a tsoereng morali oa hao ka eona," Ntate Buromo said. My dad stood up and shook his head, "Eyi, Mr Buromo, ke ts'epa hore, it will not affect business yarona," Ntate said, causing me to roll my eyes. "Ntate Buromo, please leave now. And stop acting all innocent, you knew about Lerato and Kgosi, you saw them kissing during our engagement party, bu you said nothing because my marriage to Kgosi would have, and I quote, "took Buromo Industries to another height" and quite frankly that's nonsense." I said glaring at him. My mother covered her mouth with her hand and Ntate stared at Mr Buromo threatening to punch the remaining teeth out of him. Mr Buromo quickly gathered his things and he too slammed the front door on his way out. "Ngwanaka-" my mother started but I raised my hand to stop her. "It's fine mama, the marriage wouldn't have worked out anyways. Ke ilo hlapa, ke khathetse," I said smiling briefly. I sighed and trailed up the stairs to my room. I banged the door shut and stripped my clothes off to shower. I showered quickly and moisturized my body before wrapping a rowel around my body. I got in bed and switched the lights off, I was exhausted. But I couldn't sleep, I tossed and turned for at least an hour before I got out of bed and got dressed in a jean, tank top and a hoodie on top. I grabbed my Puma sneakers and creeped down the stairs, my parents were watching T.V so they didn't hear me open the garage door and turn on the engine. I asked Lumka, the gate man, to open the gate and went out. I wasn't sure where I was going but I just needed to clear my head.

I found myself at Mugg & Bean, about 15 minutes away from home, and went inside after wearing my sneakers I went inside. I ordered a giant muffin & cappuccino and sat down at the bar area whilst trying to ignore a bunch of guys who were catcalling me. "Hey sweetie pie, you know you and I are like cocoa and marshmallows. You're hot and I want to be on top of you." one of them called out. I rolled my eyes, that was so cheesy I was almost instantly became lactose intolerant. "Cheesy huh?" someone said as they settled down next to me. "I swear it almost made lactose intolerant." he continued. I laughed as I faced him, "That's what I said!" I exclaimed happily as the waitress brought my order. "I'll get a classic latte & scone please." he said. I smiled at him and he smiled back and I swear I almost fell. I finally gave him a good look. He had a set jaw, chiselled chin, pink full lips and was a light skin. There was a shadow of a moustache on his upper lip. His lips started moving but I couldn't hear anything. He licked his lips and smiled. He snapped his fingers and I snapped out of my thoughts. "You weren't listening were you?" he asked smiling down at me. "Uhm sorry, what were you sayi-" I was interrupted by my phone pinging.

"Oh shit! I need to go. It was nice meeting you." I said downing taking a sip of my coffee and jumping off my seat. He tried to say something but I was already out the door. I jumped in the car and drove home. As I pulled up to the gate, my phone pinged.

Me

I'm outside ma.

I pulled in and parked my car in the garage. I went inside to find my parents pacing in the living room. My mom gasped when she saw. "Where were you ngwanaka?" she asked gently, my father looked relieved. "I was at Mugg & Bean mama, I just needed to clear my head since I couldn't sleep." I said smiling briefly. "Yeyi wena! Don't ever pull that stunt again, we thought that something had happened to you, you forget that you are a princess, and one day you will rule this village." my dad said sternly. I rolled my eyes, the ruling talk again. "Ntate, even now you refuse to listen. I will not become the queen of this nation. Tshego is more than capable to rule." I said exasperatedly. Tshego was my younger brother, he was kind and humble and I was sure he would make a great king but my father would not listen, that's why Tshego moved to Joburg, to be away from him. My dad grunted in defeat and dragged himself upstairs. "Ngwanaka, be patient. He will come around very soon." my mom said softly before leaving me standing alone in the living room. I went upstairs, changed into a hoodie before slipping into bed, dreaming about the handsome stranger.
