It's a sunny Thursday afternoon. There are exactly two weeks left to final exams, which explains the bunch of books sprawled across the table in the yard of Gidae University campus but not the endless chatter going on between three friends.
They haven't really done much studying here but Jungkook could care less about studying when Yoongi is exposing the hell out of Jin's drunk ass over memories of last night, the first time the man apparently went to the club.
"You looked like an idiot," Yoongi is cackling so hard he can't sit straight. He wouldn't be able to anyway, with Jin drumming his back to shut him up. Well it's not working. Jungkook heard all about Jin dressing like an elite and pretending to know the owner of the club to get free drinks, then getting drunk and confessing to the bartender that they were scammers. "If it weren't for Namjoon you would have gotten your ass whooped!"
Jungkook realizes he has been giggling nonstop for the past half an hour when his breath hitches from laughing. He can totally imagine that happening.
They were all celebrating in some way last night, as the reveal of the mascot (only to the President) has taken a big burden off their backs. What's more interesting than all is that the petition-owner has turned themselves in to the President shortly after Jungkook made the agreement to find them, but the President refuses to disclose their information in accordance with the petition-owner's personal request.
It was creepy at first, because... it means that there might still be whistleblower creeping around their shoulders, but then Minji pointed out that the Mascot wasn't running any pranks anymore. Also, now that Jungkook overtook the #antifrat campaign into his own hands as Siin the Mascot, that automatically positions him at the same sidelines as the petition-makers who intended exactly to raise awareness to fraternity misdeeds.
The team decided to let it go then, and they went out to celebrate. Jungkook has no idea what the others did but Jin and Yoongi have been blasting for the past hour about the rap show they attended last night. Namjoon seems to be the star of the night, big underground reputation and all, but Jungkook hasn't met him yet and he was bummed to hear that they went without him.
It made sense though, Jungkook was on a mall date with Jimin last night. They were busy swiping the aluminum foil stock in the supermarket — he'll get to that in a bit.
"I knew that Namjoon had our back, okay? That's why I was confident!" Jin is still defending himself.
When Jungkook realizes there is no end to their bickering, he decides to go back to studying. He is actually demotivated from sitting purposelessly for an hour or so, but he also knows he needs to take advantage of every break to catch up on all the material he has been avoiding the past month due to the mascot busyness. Turns out you don't realize how behind you are until you get back in the groove.
"Yah, Jungkook-ah!" Jin suddenly chimes, both him and Yoongi looking interested in his book-staring.
"Yeah?"
"Do you want hyung to tell you a secret way to learning?"
Jungkook's eyebrows shoot up. "Sure." He'll take all help there is.
Jin rolls his sleeves, eagerly explaining. "There is something called photoshoot memory."
"Aaah, right right right," Yoongi nods, eyes closing spiritually. "Bet you studied like a slave when you could shortcut your way."
"Really?"
Jin nods with a wise sigh as Jungkook gives his attention to his friend, lips locking around his straw and sipping hugely from his pink smoothie.
