Rock music pounded in Jayde's ears, the whole back seat shaking from the volume. The Impala was gliding across the open stretch of dark road, windows open and filling the cold, country air with echoing sounds of air guitars and drum solos. Dean was trying to drum on the steering wheel, both Jayde and Sam trying to support with various sound effects and broken notes. She knew her singing was a bit terrible, but Jayde knew neither Sam or Dean could give a damn about her musicality. Dean was actually pretty good, belting the chorus of every song with confidence and steady tones, Sam shakier but not bad either. It was terrible fun, the Impala itself a wonderful place to retire to after chasing cases for days.

It had been about a week since the whole djinn incident, Jayde feeling a lot better both physically and mentally. In the end, the whole fantasy dream was something she needed to get past, dealing with it professionally like any other hunter would have. The bounce back was fast after that, Jayde's eagerness to get back into the job seemingly doubled. The siblings had been chasing up a few loose ends, but hadn't really found anything interesting enough to be anything worth investigating. It was on the way back to Bobby's place where Dean turned into a seemingly dead end. At the road's end however was a lit up diner, a few people bustling in and around with a jukebox blasting old music, more pop and jazz oriented than the classics Jayde was used to. Dean killed the engine, pulling into a parking spot and hitting Sammy in the arm. He sighed, about to get out but not before Dean hit him again.

"Don't forget the extra onions this time, huh?"

"Dean, come on!" Jayde cried, leaning forward and deliberately hitting his head.

"Dude, we're the ones who're gonna have to ride in the car with your extra onions." Dean gave Sam a 'don't care' look, simply adding a comment about pie. Sam sighed again and opened the door, doubling back when Dean yelled from the open window. "Bring me some pie! Love me some pie." he added under his breath, Jayde climbing over the seat and plopping into the front next to him as Sam disappeared into the restaurant.

"So what are we gonna do now anyway?" She asked, leaning against the door and facing her brother with a smile.

"Just some random hunts I guess. Me and Sam have been trying to track Yellow-eyes for a while..."

"Yellow-eyes?"

"The demon that killed Mom, we figured out some weird stuff too, found some weird people and-"

"Shut up for a sec." Jayde interrupted him, noticing the sudden odd silence that replaced the ambient jukebox tunes. The looks of peaceful happiness erased immediately, the two siblings looking to the inside of the small building. All the lights were still on, but the bustling sound of people was dead, no-one inside seemed to be moving. The two pulled out their guns from their waistbands and rushed out of the car, slowly circling back to the door. Gun raised, Jayde crouched under the door window as Dean stood above her, nodding as a signal to be ready. She nodded back and stared the door down, the diner suddenly revealing itself as Dean pushed the door and Jayde cocked her pistol.

Bodies littered the floor, puddles of blood leaking onto light tiles. Sam was nowhere to be seen. It was as if an invisible force blew in, stole him and killed everything inside.

"Sam?" Dean called, gun still raised and ready to shoot anything that moved. Jayde stood up, gun held out in front of her as both her and Dean walked in, pointing their barrels at every corner and space. "Sam!" Jayde called, her voice echoing through the room and back corridors. She looked to Dean, worry quickly painting on his face. He moved further back into the diner, sweeping behind the counter and recoiling slightly when he found himself facing another dead body. Jayde turned into the back corridor leading to the kitchen, carefully circling around someone who had fallen to the floor, face down. She pushed open the back door, leaning out to face the cold recess of empty countryside. She called Sam's name a few more times, hearing Dean doing the same behind her. It was no use, she thought, Jayde simply closing the door and giving up the search; Sam was gone. When she did pull the door back into place however, her fingers brushed against a powdery substance on the window. Jayde examined it, bringing it up to face to smell it.
