"Hey." Jariah mom Mya said as she greeted Dior, kd, Kori, and Kaoir into her house.
"Happy birthday Mya." Kori said giving her a hug.
"Thank you." She said as they all walked to the kitchen.
Kori seen jariah and smiled as she waved at him.
"Hey." She said giving him a hug.
"Oooo y'all cute." Kaoir said and everybody looked over making them laugh.
"It's not like that we're friends." Jariah said as she grabbed a soda out of the fridge.
"I got to talk to you come up to my room with me real quick." Jariah told kori.
"Keep that door open." Jeremy said and she nodded her head as they went upstairs.
"What you need to talk about?" Kori asked flopping down in jariah bean bag chair.
"Can you cover for me tomorrow after school?" She asked and he frowned.
"For what?" He asked confused.
"Tavon wants to take me on a date." She said and he smacked his lips.
"Hell no, you don't need to go on a date with that nigga he don't do nothing but play hoes." Kori said shaking his head.
"So I'm a hoe?" She asked folding her arms and mugging him.
"You know I didn't mean it like that but come on you seen what he did when y'all first started talking when y'all get in relationship or if y'all do, do you really think he going to change?" Kori asked.
"He said that he's not going to do it anymore." She said.
"And I said that I was going to stop getting involved in my brother bullshit but look at me." Kori said shrugging.
"Your brothers a bitch though." She said shrugging.
Jariah hated kasani he would always pick on her and made her feel insecure about herself so she just didn't talk to him.
"But he still my brother, and at least my brother not out playing girls behind their back all his females know about eachother." Kori said.
"When are you going to get into a relationship?" She asked as she laid on her stomach and propped her head up with her hands.
"I'm still figuring my sexuality and stuff out." He said sighing.
"I know what I like but I'm not sure." He said.
"Experience and see what you like go have sex with a girl and then go have sex with a boy." She said shrugging.
"It's not that simple, I have had sex with a girl before plenty of them but if I just go and have sex with a boy what if I don't like it and I got to live with that mistake." He said.
"It wouldn't be a mistake at least you will know who you are." She said.
"What kind of boys do you like, like masculine and sporty like you or like the ones that act like girls?" She asked.
"I don't know but if I had to choose probably the ones who act like girls I guess I don't know right now." He said shrugging.
"But it's not all about sex it's deeper then that." He said.
"You know I'm supporting you the long way whatever you do it's cool with me and it's between us." She said sitting up.
"But when you find out who you are I think you should tell your family."
