Short chapter..
Omniscient pov:
Jariah stood in her room getting dress for school as she was on FaceTime with Kasani.
Both of their phones was on mute and he was in the shower.
"Jariah I'm off to work." Her mom said looking at her.
"Okay see you when you get home." Jariah said as her mom frowned walking in her room.
"You seem different." Her mom said squinting her eyes.
"I'm not doing nothing but getting dressed for school." She said.
"Mhm. I'm about to go love you." Mya said leaving out.
"I love you too." Jariah frowned as she put on some lipgloss then looked at the camera seeing Kasani popping up.
"Hey bae." He said and she smiled going off mute.
"Boy stop you gone get your phone wet." She said laughing.
"That's not gone be the only thing wet." He said and she mugged him.
"Eww your nasty." She said gagging and he laughed.
"I'm just playing chill out." He said and she rolled her eyes.
"I'm going to have to call you back soon, Kori is coming over to drive me to school." She said.
"Why I can't drive you?" He asked.
"Kasani you know our situation and plus every morning me and him go to Starbucks before school I can't just stop that he's still my bestfriend." She said.
"True, get me something while you there." He said.
"Like what?" She asked.
"I'll have 3 of you." He said and they laughed as she heard her doorbell ring.
"I think that's him I'll see you at school." She said and then hung up the phone.
She grabbed her bookbag then downstairs opening the front door seeing Kori.
"Hey." She said as they hugged eachother.
"You smell good." He told her and she frowned and laughed.
"Thank you I guess." She said as she locked up her house.
They went to kori car getting in. Kori looked over at Jariah who buckled up her seatbelt and stared at her phone seeing messages pop up from Kasani.
"So what you been doing the past week?" Kori asked her and she looked up at him.
"Just chilling and vibing at home." She said smiling at him.
"How was it with Kasani staying there?" He asked driving off.
"It was okay but you know how Kasani is." She said playfully rolling her eyes.
"Annoying? Ignorant? A trouble maker?" He asked and she laughed.
"Yeah all that." She said.
"My parents think he in love because he came home being nice and respectful and shit." Kori said.
"Well it's probably Ashley he have been talking to her a lot." Jariah lied shrugging as Kori drove down the street to starbucks.
"maybe." Kori said looking at her smiling at her phone.
"Who got you smiling?" He asked and she looked up at him.
"Mariah sent me this funny picture." She lied as she texted Kasani.
