Chapter Six: He's Her What!?

Silas and I come walking into the door of the Salvatore Boarding house laughing, having a good time. I look over at him and just breathe it in, life and happiness. We stop laughing when we come to face Stefan. 

"Where's Q?" 

"Oh, um... I think she went to the store or something after lunch." I shake my shoulders 

"Katherine... what did you do?" He asks, accusatory 

"Nothing. We had lunch, I set some terms, and she agreed. Don't worry." I reassure him 

"Okay, I trust you. Look if I would have known you were gonna be so upset, I wouldn't have gotten back together with her so soon." 

"Well, you should have known. She did threaten our daughter." Silas adds 

"I just figured since you said you were okay with it and you asked her to help with Amara, it wouldn't be a problem." 

"It's okay, Stefan. Although we had 'lunch' doesn't mean I want her around me all the time. I'll be cordial but that's it." I say 

"Understandable." He nods his head and walks off 

I turn to Silas and shake my head. 'Just because of what happened with Qetsiyah today doesn't mean you need to get mad at Stefan. Considering he was there for me when you weren't.' I think to myself. 

"I know, I'm sorry." 

I can see the sadness of my last statement on his face and I know that it hurt him a little. I reach my hands up to his face and pull his head down to my face. I look into his eyes and they (as always) are filled with love, yet sadness is still on his face. I place a quick but firm kiss on his lips and I feel him smile against my lips. 

"Hey, you're here now. I love you." I smile  

"I love you too. Now, we have a college campus to get to." 

"Okay, let me grab a few things."

It's a long drive to Whitmore so Silas and I just talk and listen to music the whole time, some of the music has gone down in the past decades but some I can tolerate. We pull up into a parking stop and turn off the car. We step out and I watch as some students rush to get to class or just casually chilling. 

"I guess we find Caroline?" Silas asks 

"Where ever Care is, there's Bon Bon and Elena. We should check their dorm room first."  

Of course, we had to park nowhere near the dorms. 'Who puts dorms almost all the way at the back of the school?'

"You got that right. No time to waste." He looks over at me and smiles 

We start walking towards the dorms and I look over at him. He catches me staring and I quickly turn away before he says anything. 

"What?" 

"You just have fun reading my mind, don't you?"  I look him dead in the eyes 

He just shakes his head and walks off ahead of me and I can't help but stare at his butt. I let him walk a few seconds ahead before I eventually catch up with him. 

"Hey!" Someone yells at me 

I turn around to see a blonde, her back to me, walking away. I decide to respond. 

"Watch where you're going, bitch!" I yell back to her 

"Who are you calling a bit-" The girl turns around and it's Caroline

"Oh, it's just you." I laugh 

She shocked as she walks over to me and pulls me into a hug. 

"I totally didn't see you there. I see you guys just go around calling people bitches." She laughs 

"Hey, don't add me in this. Katherine here was the one who said it. Where you off to in such a hurry?" Silas questions 

"I just got a call from Bonnie. Another body has been found but this time it was completely sucked of magic, not one ounce left like the other bodies. I'm on the way there now." 

Without another word, we walk to the sirens and I see Elena and Bonnie by the tape. Caroline goes up to them and pulls Bonnie away. We walk up to Elena and she waves to us. 

"What are you guys doing here?" She asks 

"We thought we would stop by here and get anything. We were just coming to look for you when Caroline bumped into me. What did Bonnie say?" 

"Oh, she said the magic was drained but instead just an ounce of power left, there's none. She also has a feeling that there may be more witches on campus." She states 

"Anything else?" 

"He's still here, somewhere close." Bonnie says from behind me 

I turn to her and boy has it been awhile since I've seen her, I almost forgot how short she is. I look away from her and into the crowd, there are so many people I can't see the guy from last night. I look over to the dead body and they are rolling it up onto the gurney and putting it in the ambulance. 

"I don't see anybody out of the ordinary in the crowd."

 I say searching once more until I see this blonde with really curly hair and strong features staring dead at the crime scene. She wasn't looking around or chatting with others, she was just staring. I look back towards Bonnie and point the girl out to her. 

"Bonnie isn't that Olivia from the border spell?" I ask 

"Yes, that's her. How did you know?" 

"I saw things from the other side just like the others. She's the one who did the spell to bring us back. But why is she so focused on the crime scene?" I question 

"I have no idea. Silas, can you still read minds?" Bonnie asks him 

"I sure can. Why do you ask?" 

"Can you read hers?" She asks 

He shakes his head yes and focuses on her. A couple of emotions crosses his face before he turns back to us. 

"Well?" Elena raises her brow at him 

"This is going to sound weird but...." He pauses for a moment 

"But what?" 

"I think the murderer is her brother."
