Silas and I leave them to talk about it or whatever and we make our way to our room. Stefan might be mad at me about the way I'm handling this, but I feel great about it.

"Were you really going to make Qetsiyah leave if she didn't agree to your terms?" Silas asks

"Nope. A little reverse psychology goes a long way." I smile

I walk to the dresser and pull out a dress and I get some heels. I turn to Silas and strip down all my clothes while making direct eye contact with him. I slowly unzip the dress and slip it over my head. I smile as he eyes me down. I then turn to look into the full length mirror.

"Would you mind helping me with this zipper?" I pretend to reach for it

He releases a light chuckle as he slowly stalks towards me. Once he gets behind me he places his hands on my hips. As I'm staring into the mirror he makes direct eye contact with me and smiles.

"So where are you going all dressed up?" He asks

"WE are going out. I love Ava but we haven't been out in months."

"What's the plan?"

"Dinner at the only God forsaken place here and then the club. Can you believe that this town even has one of those?"

Silas finally zips up my dress and I apply a little bit of lip gloss. He plants a small kiss on my shoulder and looks back up to me.

"You look beautiful." He compliments me

"And don't I know it." I smirk and grab my heels

" I smirk and grab my heels

Silas gets ready and we are all ready to leave. I almost forgot how far the Mystic Grill is from the The Salvatore Boarding House. We get there and as soon as I notice Qetsiyah and Stefan getting out the car, I scoff. They walk into the grill and we are a slight second behind them. We get in and they're standing there, waiting for someone.

"We have got to stop meeting like this." I say with a laugh

Both of them turn back to us and we greet them with a smile. Stefan kind of rolls his eyes and turns away.

"Hey, Katherine. Silas."

'so formal' I think to myself.

"Sure is." Silas answers me

"Oh, there you go." I motion my head to the seater

"Are all of you guys together?" She asks

Stefan answers with a quick and solid no. I lean into Silas's ear and whisper 'rude'. He takes that as a gesture.

"Actually yes, we are together. Surely my twin brother wouldn't refuse to share a table with my fiance and I." He chuckles, Stefan clearly mad

"Yes, sir. This way." She leads us to our booth and we sit with our SO on each seat.

"So you guys are engaged?" Stefan asks, noticeably irritated

"Oh yes." I answer moving my hand towards their faces

"I'm surprised you guys didn't notice when we got to the house."

Qetsiyah grabs my hand and pulls it a little closer to her. She examines it over and over again and smiles.

"Beautiful

"Beautiful." She simply says

"Thanks, Tessa."

I put on a fake face as much as I can to get through this dinner. They seem to believe I'm actually being nice.

"Look, Katherine. I know what I did isn't excusable, but I do hope to make it up to you." Qetsiyah adds

"Let's not talk about that tonight, Q. Just for tonight, let's pretend that we aren't enemies." I smile

Honestly, I don't know how much longer I can keep this act up. Tomorrow when we have lunch I'm gonna set clear boundaries and make sure she knows her place. Yes, I told Stefan I would be happy for them but I didn't know he was going to date her this early in. We all order our food and Stefan is starting to warm up a little bit.

"I know I said some choice things earlier, Stefan. I'm sorry, I hope you can forgive me."

I fake smile with my fake apology. You would think him knowing me so well he would catch the manipulation in my voice, but it seems it was a passable apology.

"Of course I forgive you. We're friends Katherine and I wouldn't want that to go away."

In a few minutes of conversation, our food comes out quickly along with my margarita. We all make small talk and we are all laughing, having a good time. Or so they think. I don't know if Silas is aware of my fakeness but I guess with five hundred years of practice anyone can mistake it.

"So Katherine... How did Silas propose?" Stefan asks

"It's very short and simple. We decided to take a day with Ava and Nadia and go to the beach. We spent the whole day there and when sunset came, that's when he proposed. Nadia got it on camera and everything. It was all very sweet." I smile, intertwining my hand with his

"That must have been really great." Q smiles

"It was, I couldn't go another day without being engaged to Katherine." Silas answers

We all finish our food and we continue to talk, catching up on events of this past summer. I look at my phone and see that it's almost eleven. I push my shoulder into Silas's and show him.

"This has been great, really but Katherine and I have got to go."

Silas pulls out his wallet and places money to cover our part of the check. We get up from the table and start to walk off.

"Wait!" Stefan calls after us

We turn to him and say nothing. "Where are you guys going?"

"The club. I heard it just opened up a couple of months ago..." I turn to Silas and he nods "...you guys wanna join? We're meeting Damon and Elena there."

Both Qetsiyah and Stefan look at each other and he shrugs his shoulders. Qetsiyah turns to me and shakes her head.

"Okay, cool."

With that, they pay their bill and we are on our way out.
