Chapter Sixteen: Heretic Time

After a few moments of Olivia crying, I look over at her. "Why?" She asks, looking back at me

"I'm sorry, Olivia, I really am. But when it comes to family, I don't care who dies. And now with Kai's death, you can be reunited with your brother again. I hope you understand." I sadly state 

"I will NEVER understand how you just killed me without another thought. I'll never forgive you for this." She states, angry 

I walk over closer to her and stop just a few inches away from her. "You'll be dead before that happens anyway." 

I start walking towards the door, Stefan following behind me. I turn back to Olivia to say one last thing. 

"I'll get Josette for you, you should spend whatever time you have left with your family." 

With a small I'm sorry look, we both walk out the door. On the way to the car, we see Jo making her way out, her hand against her head. 

"Katherine, Stefan? Did you get Kai? Where are he and Olivia?" She asks, walking toward us 

Stefan looks over at me and I nod my head. "We got him but there's something you should know. I killed him, I'm sorry. Olivia is waiting for you inside." I say curtly before I make my way to the driver's seat and close the car door 

"Oh my God, we're all going to die now." I hear Josette exclaim "Do you know what you've just done?" She asks Stefan 

"Yes, we do. Goodbye, Jo." Stefan says as he leaves her stranded, him getting into the passenger seat 

He looks over to me and shakes his head disapprovingly, a frown visible on his lips but anger clearly in his eyes. 

"This is something the old Katherine would have done. I'm disappointed in you, really." He shakes his head 

I shut off the car I had started and toss the keys in front of us and turn full bodily to look at Stefan. 

"Save me the lecture, Stefan. You act like you wouldn't kill people for your brother, Elena too. I have a child I need to take care of, this wasn't for me and you should know that."

 I pause and reach for the keys and turn the car back on and buckle my belt. "Screw you, Stefan." I spit with venom as I put the car into drive. 

"AAAHH!" Is all I need to hear to leave the car on and speed out of my car and into the house, Stefan behind me

I look and see Jo on the ground and a now-alive Kai with blood on his lips. My eyes open in shock as I now see the blood on Josette's neck. He looks up at me with a smile and gives a little sassy wave. 

"You didn't think you could get rid of me that easily, did you?" He cocks his head to the side 

"Motus." He chants with a wave of his hand as he sends me flying across the room, cracks through the wall I've hit

As I struggle to get up from the floor, Kai slowly stalks toward me. He crouches down and smiles, even more, places his hand around my chin, and pulls me up from the ground. 

"You know, you are very pretty. I think I like you." He slightly chuckles "Invisique." He says before knocking me out.

"What the hell? Where did they go?" I ask frantically looking around 

"Simple answer, Kai did a cloaking spell and took her. You should probably look for her before he kills her." Olivia answers 

"Well, where do you think he would take her? Any place he used to go?" I question 

Olivia gets up from the ground and starts making her way toward me. She looks me dead in the eyes and smiles. 

"You really think I would help you after you just sentenced us to death? No way. Get out of my house and find her yourself." She snaps before turning back and sitting down with Jo 

I just sit and stare for a second before I shake my head and pull out my phone. The first number I dial is Katherine's in hope that she answers, but she doesn't. I get in the car and connect my phone to Bluetooth, pressing the voice command button.

"Siri, call Silas." 

There's a sound before it starts ringing and by the third one, he picks up. 

"Hello, Stefan?" 

"We've got a problem and you aren't going to like it." I start

My eyes flutter open and I start to see someone sitting in front of me, eating. Where the hell am I? I finally get my eyes open to see Kai is the one eating, just looking at me. I look around and I can now see that we're in the grill.

"What the hell Kai, how long have I been out?" I ask 

"It's been a few hours, you kept waking up so I had to keep snapping your neck until we got here. But now that we're here, I won't have to do it anymore." He chuckles, taking another bite of his food 

"How in the hell are you eating food already? It took me days before I could." 

"Oh, this? I guess being a witch/ vampire it's different and I have you to thank for that. Not only am I immortal but my little coven is probably dead already because of your... mishap." He smiles 

I sit up straight and look him straight into his eyes. "I knew what I was doing when I killed you, I would hardly call that a mishap." I state 

"I was talking about me becoming a vampire, I was planning on you killing me. SO as I said, Thank you, Katherine, for making me this... great creation." 

I scoff at his ego "How the hell did you even get access to vampire blood?" I ask 

"Remember that time I was in your house and I killed you, yeah, I took some blood from you while you were napping." He admits 

"I'm gonna be honest with you, Kai, that's smart. But you know what's not smart?" I ask, raising a brow 

He takes another bite of food as he lightly laughs "And what is that?" 

"You kidnapped the wrong bitch." I say, getting up from my chair "Incendia!" I chant, the whole table catching fire 

I take this chance to speed to the front door and when I finally get to open it, it slams shut. Kai approaching slowly behind me. I quickly get away and run to the back door that leads to the back room. I go straight to the shelf and pull it out to reveal the metal piece against the hole that was once in the wall leading to the tunnels.

"Looks like there is no escape for you, Katherine. Are you sure I kidnapped the wrong bitch?" He laughs, coming closer to me 

Before I get the chance to speak, he puts his hand around my nose and mouth and I inhale something and then I black out.
