chapter fifty two

after a bunch of rides, food, oikawa almost throwing up, mattsun and makki fighting over who gets to sit next to me, oikawa saying that only he's allowed to sit next to me, oikawa and i taking some fire pictures with the frozen characters, mattsun harassing the disney princesses for their numbers, makki trying to stop mattsun (yet wanting the princesses numbers as well), tsutomu not having a care in the world about what we're doing, iwaizumi slapping the back of oikawa's head many times, me pushing oikawa's arm off of my shoulders, and tsutomu spending money later, we're sitting in front of the castle and waiting for the happily ever after fireworks show to begin.

i also bought a lightsaber. i was hitting oikawa with it- until tsutomu took it from me.

"did you all have fun today?" tsutomu questions. we all nod, mine slowly.

"why are you slowly nodding? did you not have fun?" oikawa puts a hand on my shoulder, tears building up in his eyes.

"i was thinking..? recapping the day." i push his hand off of my shoulder for the hundredth time, then throw a piece of popcorn at him.

"stop throwing stuff at me, your streak was so long today!" oikawa exclaims.

"you're keeping track?" makki questions.

"well, yeah! she's always targeting me, so why not?"

"that's kinda creepy.." mattsun says. i nod in agreement.

"i'm not trying to be weird!" oikawa exclaims with his head in his hands.

"when aren't you weird?" i slightly tilt my head while looking at oikawa.

"okay, i didn't come here to be attacked!" oikawa whines in the most annoying voice. i put a hand over his mouth to shut him up.

"shush, the show is starting." i avert my gaze from him and to the castle.

the fireworks show begins. we all watch in awe, probably oikawa and i the most and iwaizumi the least.

the fireworks show ends with me in total shock. i've never seen anything like it before. how do they even project onto the entire castle? i won't ask questions.

we get up from where we're seated, popcorn from oikawa's lap that i threw at him falling to the ground.

"look at that! that's all from you." oikawa crosses his arms and looks away as tsutomu begins walking away after giving me back my lightsaber.

"i would've thrown more if i didn't eat it." i follow tsutomu, the boys following me.

"remind me to never go anywhere with you!" oikawa looks back to me, his arms still crossed. i flip him off.

"fine by me."

"wait, no, i was kidding! i want to go everywhere with you!" oikawa walks behind me while putting his arms around my neck. i don't hesitate to pry his arms off.

"stop doing that."

"why." oikawa groans.

"it's weird."

"no, it's not! you just don't know how to show affection." oikawa huffs and retrieves his arms, walking next to me instead.

"i do know how to show affection!" i poke his side with my lightsaber. his quick reflexes grab the toy and pulls it, bringing me closer to him.

"you stop doing that! i'm gonna be in pain tomorrow." oikawa exclaims.

"that sucks, doesn't it."

"yes, it does suck!"

"go cry about it."

"wanna ride on my back?" oikawa randomly questions. i mean, i won't pass up the opportunity. oikawa crouches down in front of me. i get of his back and wrap myself around him, resting my head on his shoulder. the fireworks show honestly gave me a headache.

i sigh as we go back to the monorail, then the tram, and finally the parking lot. i quickly doze off, on oikawa's shoulder, while tsutomu begins driving back to champions gate.

i completely regret dozing off because i woke up in the middle of the night. i twist and turn on the bed before getting up in frustration and going to the bathroom. i splash cold water on my face, knowing i won't be able to go back to sleep either way. i leave the bathroom and room, going downstairs for a drink. unsurprisingly, i find mattsun and makki wide awake, watching something in the living room. i grab a water bottle before heading over to the couch they're on.

"you're awake?" makki questions.

"no, i'm clearly asleep."

"it's three in the morning, i didn't think you stay up that late." mattsun says from the other couch.

"well, now you know." i sit down near his feet.

"wanna join us in movie marathoning?" makki questions.

i shrug. "why not. i'm gonna go change first though."

i go up to my room, changing into a pajama set. after making sure my clothes are comfortable enough, i go back downstairs and lay down where makki had made space for me. we don't keep track of how long we're watching movies, so i end up staying up with the two.
