chapter fifty one

we drive through the entrance of magic kingdom, oikawa quietly chanting in the back seat to himself. i can sense his excited-ness from here.

"chinami." tsutomu randomly says as we make our way to the parking lot.

"yes..?"

"don't misbehave."

oikawa, mattsun and makki snicker while i look at tsutomu, in the mirror, in shock.

"me? misbehave?"

"yes."

"i don't misbehave!"

"says the one who's always taking any chance to throw something at me." oikawa says. i take that opportunity to throw- well, theres actually nothing in this car to throw, lucky him. i flip him off in response.

"fine, i won't 'misbehave.'" i cross my arms while looking at tsutomu in the window. the audacity, tsutomu.. the audacity.

we arrive to the magic kingdom parking lot. well- not technically magic kingdom yet. we have to take a tram to the monorail, first.

"chinami-chaaan, sit next to me!" oikawa exclaims after sliding onto the tram seat. i sigh and step onto the tram, sitting next to oikawa.

"wait, you're actually sitting next to me?" oikawa questions as makki sits next to me.

"you.. asked me to?"

"i didn't think you'd agree~" oikawa slowly puts his head on mine. i put a hand on the top of his head and push him off.

"stop it."

"just let me show you love!" he wraps his arms around me.

"no."

oikawa whines the whole ride to the monorail, the ride to magic kingdom and while we're walking down main street. i completely ignore him while iwaizumi struggles to keep himself from absolutely obliterating oikawa.

wait.

"tomu, can we please get mickey ears?" i pull tsutomu by his arm towards the chapeau.

"you're already pulling me towards there, so yes." tsutomu simply replies.

tsutomu. i don't think he knows how to say no to me. the six of us go into the chapeau. my eyes basically sparkle at the sight of the merchandise.

"which one are you getting, chinami-chan?" oikawa questions as we look around the shelf.

"the minnie mouse 'up' one, if they have it.."

"how do i look?" mattsun questions with the mickey mouse glove ears on, posing. that's such an oikawa thing to do.

"horrid." i say with a giggle.

"okay, but this one is so fire." makki says with the unicorn headband on. i put a hand over my mouth while snickering with mattsun.

they actually did have the ears i wanted. iwaizumi didn't want to get ears, but oikawa forced him to get the simple mickey hat. oikawa gets the baymax ear hat, mattsun gets the toy story alien hat, and makki gets the goofy ears hat. i'm surprised they actually fit his head.

we make it to the main part of magic kingdom, where the castle is.

"wow.." i look up to the top of the castle. it's just like the pictures, but bigger. and actually magical.

"this is so cool~!" oikawa exclaims.

"would you like a group photo?" tsutomu questions.

"n-"

"yes!" oikawa quickly cuts me off. oh, great. tsutomu pulls out my phone from his pocket and holds it out to me to unlock it. i unlock it and go onto the camera app. he goes back a few steps away from us so he can get us all in the picture.

tsutomu captures us off guard as mattsun says the stupidest, yet funniest joke he's ever said, making us all laugh. yes, even me. tsutomu lets out a soft chuckle while coming over to us to show the picture he took.

we all have genuine smiles on our faces. okay, maybe this vacation wasn't that bad of an idea. tsutomu gives me my phone to examine the picture closer while we walk deeper into magic kingdom.

i send the photo to sayaka, telling her to print it out and leave it in my room. i also send it to the group chat the boys added me in, somewhat cherishing the memory.

we decide to go to expedition everest first, after taking a very long time looking at the map.

"chinami-chan, sit next to me!" oikawa exclaims while we make it to the rollercoaster.

"why."

"because.."

"fine." i say, knowing he's not going to give up until i agree.

"you've been agreeing a lot these past few d-"

"don't talk about it."

oikawa gets in first, then i follow after. i'm surprised he's actually going on a rollercoaster, yet was so nervous to go on a water slide. what the fuck.

as the ride begins, oikawa slips his hand into mine, interlocking our fingers while using his other hand to rub the top of mine. i spoke too soon.

"if you were nervous to come on the ride, why did you?" i ask oikawa.

"i didn't want you to go on it alone!" oikawa quietly exclaims.

"there are other people on.."

"but.. i'm supposed to go with you!"

"you're not obligated t-"

"just- sorry.." oikawa sighs and begins to remove his hands from mine. ugh. i put my hand back in his before he can completely pull away. he looks at me with a big smile.

"i-" he starts.

"don't. don't talk about it!"

the ride continues.

"oh my god, we're gonna die!" oikawa weeps as we reach the top of the ride, his grip on my hand tightening. i softly giggle.

"oikawa, are you serious..?"

"yes, i'm serious, chinami-chan!"

i shake my head and rub oikawa's hand with my thumb. i hear mattsun and makki screaming with the other rollercoaster riders. i'm surprised oikawa isn't-

oikawa now screams, that one girlish scream, you know? yeah. i put a hand over his mouth to stop him from screaming. he looks at me like i'm crazy while i remove my hand.

"stop being such a baby."

"i'm not being such a-" oikawa's stopped by another scream.

"exactly." i deeply sigh.

we reach the end of the ride. oikawa rushes me to get off, probably petrified of rollercoasters now. that one wasn't even that bad. after getting off of the ride and regrouping with tsutomu, we head off to the next ride.
