the door flew open, Sora, Kate, Donald and Goofy flew out and landed on the ground, face first, as the three began to slowly get up, they got a look at their surroundings, everything was in black and white.
"look, there's the Cornerstone of Light", Goofy stated Sora and Kate walked towards the orb of light that they saw back at Disney Castle
"what's going on, everything's black and white", Sora said
"hey, this is kinda like... um... uh...", Donald said
"Deja vu", Goofy said
"yeah, that's it", Donald said
"you guys have been here before", Kate asked as then someone ran up towards the four, Pete, the old Pete
"hey you, seen any bad guys around here", the Old Pete asked as the four pointed directly at him, "why I'd outta... Bah, I don't have time to waste on punks like you, so I guess I'll go easy on ya",
"well, there's our villain", Sora stated, watching Old Pete running towards the Pier as Donald and Goofy nodded their heads
"guys, something isn't right about this", Kate said, but her voice fell deaf to everyone's ears as everyone ran after Old Pete, finding him on the dock
"what's with you squirts, you got some kinda bone to pick with me", Old Pete asked in an angry tone
"more than one", Sora said
"them's fighting words", Old Pete stated, but later began walking away after hearing a boat whistle, only for everyone to stop him and fight.
"guys, listen to me, I don't think we should be fighting this Pete", Kate shouted but again fell deaf as Old Pete fell to the ground.
"what's you punks' beef with me anyway, who are ya, you new around here", Old Pete asked
"cut the act", Sora stated, Old Pete got distracted by the boat whistle again, but fell down as Kate came up to Sora
"Sora, listen to me this time, that's not the Pete we know", Kate stated
"are you sure you're Pete", Goofy asked
"well, of course I'm Pete, I'm the captain of the steamboat, so stop botherin' me, see", Old Pete stated in an angry tone, "so hit the road, I gotta go find the little runt what stole my boat",
"Gawrsh, I think Kate might be right", Goofy said
"I'm thinking the same thing, he hasn't even called any Heartless", Sora stated as everyone walked up to Old Pete
"sorry we attacked ya like that Capt'n Pete", Goofy said
"oh yeah, well, if you're really sorry, then go find my steamboat", Old Pete said
"y-yes sir", Sora said as the four began walking back towards the hill where the Cornerstone was
"alright, now we have both a door and a steamboat to find", Kate stated
"but I don't see any door", Donald said
"hey, what's that", Sora asked as he pointed out what seemed to be a floating window with a curtain, as they approached the curtained window, Donald pulled a rope which revealed four different windows and heartless entering the four windows.
(A/n- I am not writing the battle scenes due to a case of unchecked rage and pure misery of a young author (aka, me) long long ago)
with the four windows freed of Heartless, the four now knew who was causing mayhem in the world they were in... Pete, and the world was Disney Castle, way in the past, not long after, the four found Pete, the real Pete, and the Cornerstone of Light had been stolen.
