When Theodore said he had a four oclock reservation to the Hostess, I thought I would die from embarrassment. This was a date and I didn't know about it until now, I was thankful that I had at least changed my outfit and didn't look like a complete bum. Just as we sat down at the table my phone had started to ring. I searched through my many pockets, finally picking up the call just before it had ended.

"Hello?" I said, pausing for a moment to let the other person speak on the other end of the line. "Thank you so much. I will see you then."

I hung up the phone, sliding it back in my purse before facing towards Theodore. I smiled up at him, eyes beaming with excitement. I got the job at Kelly's Bar. I am officially hired as a bartender.

"Who was that?" Theodore asked.

"That was the hiring manager for Kelly's Bar. I got the job." I squealed excitedly. "So I start a job next week. I'm going to be bartender at Kelly's Bar." I admitted happily. I was excited and also a bit nervous to be working again after so long. I was surprised that I was even hired being that my most recent job was at a burger king when I was 18.

"Wow, that's great. Congratulations, Sophia." Theodore cheered enthusiastically, before he shoved a forkful of Spaghetti and Meatballs into his mouth. "What is Violet going to do all day and night now that they won't be spent with you?"

"Crash and burn?" I sighed playfully rolling my eyes. Theodore chuckled before he took the last bite off of his plate. "What about you? What are you going to do when I work the night shift and you don't have an awesome smoke buddy like me to keep you company?"

"I don't know," His face contorted into a sad expression as he shrugged his shoulders. "Crash and burn I guess."

"Don't sound so sad, Theodore." I pouted, my voice small and soft. "We can hangout tonight. But Eleanor wants me to spend the night tonight so I have to figure out how to take a pass."

"I'm not sad." He replied. "I am full."

"I am as well." I agreed. Our waiter brought us a few boxes and the check. Just as Theodore was about to grab the black booklet I snatched it off the table and inserted the cash.

"What are you doing?"
"I am paying for this meal." I replied smugly, setting the booklet in the waitresses hand.

"No you are not. I will not allow you to pay for a date." He said taking the booklet out of the womans hand. He took out the cash, handing it back to me before sliding his card into booklet, passing it back to the waitress.

"So this is a date?" I asked jokingly, my voice a little louder than intended. My face twisted upwards into a sweet smile. "If I would have known I would have dressed better."

Theodore laughed and shook his head telling me that I was beautiful in a T-shirt and jeans. I laughed harder, snorted in fact. This caused Theodore to laugh so loud it was echoing inside the restaurant. I glanced around and noticed a few people giving us nasty glares and some staring at us as if they had been reminiscing about their own young love lives.

Instantly felt the heat in my cheeks, burning through my flesh as if it had been kissed by fire. I laid my head in my hands feeling embarrassed. I wanted to run and hide in shame but that would be considered making an even bigger scene and only end up creating more embarrassment not only for me but for Theodore as well.

"Are you okay?" Theodore asked softly, resting his hand on top of mine. "Would you like to leave?"

I shook my head replying with a no, telling him that I was fine. "We can finish eating. It's just a minor panic attack. I will be fine."
