Ugly Christmas Sweaters

Takes place in season 2 so Barry is with patty at the moment.
Barry POV
"Hey so what are we going to wear tonight?" I ask looking in my closet.

"It's a Christmas party so I'm thinking...." Patty leads on.

"Don't you say it" I tell her knowing what she's going to say.

"Ugly Christmas Sweaters!!" Patty exclaims as we laugh.

"Really." I ask her.

"What? I didn't say formal at least I don't think and it's Christmas time we need to bear! Pleaseeee." She begs.

"Ok, ok I give in." I agree as she hands me one.

"Isn't it just the best." She says.

I look at the sweater to see the ugliest gnome wearing a Christmas hat with lights around it.

"If there was a contest this sweater would definitely win." I tell her chuckling.

"I know right!" Patty laughs.

"Now you do that and I'll get mine." Patty says as she runs to her bag that she brought to my apartment.

*time skip 15 minutes*

"You almost ready Bear?" Patty asks me.

"Ready!" I yell from kitchen.

"Why are you eating before the party you know there will be dinner there?" She asks.

Patty doesn't know I'm the flash yet so she doesn't understand why I have to each so much.

"Uh.... just extra hungry I guess." I nervously say hoping she will believe me.

"Whatever floats you boat now come on we're gonna be late!" Patty tells me as she takes my hand and we get in my car.

We eventually arrive at the party. Patty and I get out of the car and walk up to the door. I open it to see everyone is in elegant and formal clothes.

Stepping into the house and people notice our over the top ugly sweaters.

"Hey guys." Patty says embarrassed.

I see Caitlin rush over and pull us to the side.

"What are you two thinking?" Caitlin sternly says.

"Sorry we didn't think it was this formal." I tell her.

"I'm so sorry this is all my fault I didn't read the invitation very well and I told Barry it wasn't formal." Patty says sadly.

Cisco sees us talking and comes over.

"Yo nice sweater!" He compliments us.

I give him a face that says not the time Cisco.

"What? You guys are the highlight of this party. All it's been is boring people giving speeches about business things.

"But I thought this was a Christmas party?" Patty asks him.

"Well the only thing Christmas is here is that tree." Cisco points to a small tree with a few ornaments on it.

"Wow.... festive" I say.

"How about we get out of here." Cisco asks me and Patty.
