Barrys POV
I woke up again today. Some days I don't really ever feel like getting up, but this is a prison and that's obviously not an option. I'm letting everyone down. The only thing I can do that's helpful is stop all of these prison fights. It's pathetic but it needs to be done.

I'm on my 5th cup of pudding when a group of gang members make their way to my cell. How they got here, I don't know. But I do know that the camera by my cell hasn't been moving. It's been watching my cell constantly and I don't know how I can use my speed without it seeing. The officers think something up with me. Being a good inmate and never getting into trouble. Unless cheating in card games counts as trouble to the cops. The prisons just think I'm a suck up. They think I snitch. They think I get away with things since I was a former cop. Well it's all wrong.

"Barry Allen. I've been waiting for this." One member said to me as he pushes me against the wall.

"You don't wanna do this man." I warn.

"What are you going do about it snitch." He kicks me in the stomach.

"Cop." Another man punches me right in the jaw.

The beating continues until I see the camera move. For the first time in days.

I breath a sigh of relief and quickly use the chance I'd been given. I use my speed to knock out and take each of the men into there cells. Laying them on the bed so it looked like they were asleep.

"I'm safe" I thought to myself. Then again, I'm never really safe in here.

"Allen you have a visitor." You know the drill. Get in line. Walk fast but hot too fast. Get to the visitor station and wait.

I haven't had a visitor in about a week. Not even Iris. I shouldn't be sad though. Why would anyone want to visit me in here. It's humiliating. They probably have crime to fight and I'm just getting in there way.

"Hey Barry." I look up from the ground to see Caitlin.

"Y-you came." I stutter in shock.

"I wouldn't miss it for the world. I've missed you Barry. Star isn't the same without Barry Allen or you know who." I see a tear start to fall from her eye but she quickly wipes it away.

"How's frost?" I ask. Last time I saw her frosty side they were still getting on the right terms.

"Oh. She's better we're getting along. Well as much as I try." She sighs.

"You'll get through this Cait. For as long as I've known you, you know you will too." She just smiles and nods.

"Are you okay Barry?" She asks me.

"Yeah I'm fine." I reply.

"Barry don't lie to me. I am a doctor. Just look at yourself. Not to be rude but you've got very dark bags under your eyes and you look exhausted. Have you been sleeping?"

"The most I can in here. They turn in the lights at 5:00 sometimes 4:00 in the morning." I am exhausted. I'm tired. But I'm trying to hold on.

"Well as a friend and as your personal doctor I advise you make time to sleep. I know your trying to make the best out of the situation. But know we are doing everything in our power to get you out. Ralph is getting very cocky snd we need a hero to put him in place." Caitlin chuckles and so do I.

"I will. Thank you."

"No. Thank you. For staying strong and dealing with it."

"Time is up." The officer calls.

"Stay strong a Barr." She finishes off before leaving.

"Thanks." I give a small smile.

***

Tally marks, tally marks. Day by day.

I end my night with the sounds of fighting, bickering, whispers, and the sound of the bird that flys right outside the window of the hallway. Chirping while I fall asleep.

The End.
