Birthday Gift

3rd Person's POV

“Happy birthday Chaeyoung-ah!” The members cheered happily when Jisoo came back from the kitchen to retrieve the cake and the birthday girl grinned brightly at the sight, giggling as all her members surrounded her when the cake was placed on the table.

“You guys really didn’t have to do all this.” She laughed when Jisoo lit the candles, Lisa giving her a small push from the side. “Of course we would celebrate your birthday. Jennie unnie did tell you to have fun, right?”

The sound of her girlfriend’s name made her grin soften as she nodded her head in reply. Though jennie couldn’t be there due to wanting to give the girls privacy, they had insisted that it was fine due to jennie being considered part of the family.

“I still think she could have joined us!” Lisa exclaimed with a pout and Jisoo nodded her head in agreement. 
“I understand that unnie was doing it out of respect but she really didn’t have to.” The latter sighed softly while the birthday girl just smiled and shook her head. “Jennie has always been so thoughtful. I’m happy our Chaeyoungie gets to have someone who takes care of her.” jisoo expressed, making the said girl to blush while covering her cheeks.

“Stop being so dramatic!” She whined as jisoo and lisa burst into giggles. 
“Aww, even after all these years, you get so shy about her.” lisa teased before Chaeyoung pouted in defeat as her shoulders slumped. “Whatever. Let’s go so I can see her already.” She huffed, making her members laugh even more.

But despite all their teasing, the girls were all happy for Chaeyoung to have someone she comes home to when she can and understood her busy life.

When the candles are out and the food has been either finished or packed away, the girls gather in the living room while Chaeyoung fixes her things to head out after spending the whole day with her members.

“Was it really okay for Jennie unnie? It’s getting really late.” lisa asked worriedly while glancing at the time, but Chaeyoung shook her head before giving the other girl a tight squeeze. 
“Don’t worry, she just texted me a while ago.” She assures her before patting her arm. “Also, she’s been meaning to come over.” She chuckles

“She should really come over soon.” jisoo replied when she placed one of the containers in a plastic and then placed it near the rest of Chaeyoung's things. 
“I’m sure she’s gotten bored with having to spend more of her days indoors.” lisa commented after she took a seat. 
“Be sure to tell her that she’s welcome here, anytime.” jisoo smiles and Chaeyoung nods her head.

“I’ll be sure to tell her that.” She tells them when she grabs most of her things, lisa helping with the smaller items since they insisted in accompanying her to the car. “Thank you, and I’ll see you all later.”

“Do you and jennie unnie have plans for tomorrow?” lisa couldn’t help but ask. “Yeah, I’m pretty sure you guys have stuff you want to do together. Since we’ve been busy, you haven’t had much time together.” jisoo added while the blue haired woman hummed in thought.

Truthfully, neither of them made plans to do much, just spend some quality time together because jennie know that she can’t be out much and that she needs her rest. But she didn’t mind that.

The thought of spending time indoors and cuddling made her smile before she’s nodding her head. 
“I guess you could say that.” She chuckled before they reached the car. Lisa opened the door for her and then loaded all the things inside.
