Jughead Jones had been in love with the "Girl Next Door" for years. She didn't know that every night the last thing he saw before he fell asleep was her smile lighting up any room. That he saw her laughing in the Blue & Gold at some stupid joke he told. That he had dreamt of kissing her everytime he looked at her. Too bad she doesn't feel the same.

Jugheads POV

Walking down the halls, my mind wandered to Betty. Again. God, why is it she's all I think about. I know how she feels about me. A friend. A best friend. That's all. I just wish I could tell her how I felt. Just to kiss her. Cuddle her. Hold her.

But I knew I couldn't. I knew she wouldn't want me too. That she loves Archie. The boy next door. Not some weirdo who grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. She never would. But I couldnt help think that Archie didn't deserve her. I knew he didn't look at her the way I did. I knew that he didn't  think about her anything other than how she thought about me.

I walked up to the door of The Blue & Gold, and saw Betty in there through the window. Her hair in the normal pony tail, wearing a pastel blue shirt that I knew she loved cause it was soft and comfy. She was smiling at something on her computer screen. I had no idea what it was, but the smile brightened my day, even if it was only 10 in the morning, I knew I couldn't get any happier today.

I opened the door, and she immediately looked up. "Oh, hi Juggie!" She said happily,  before turning back to her screen scrolling through a site. Juggie. That nickname made my stomach lurch. She hasn't called me that in months. I missed it.

"Hey Betts." I said back, going to sit in the chair on the other side of the tablep. Betts. Another nickname we hadn't used in for so long. Why were the nicknames returning. Just looking at her made me smile. I think she could tell.

Betty's POV

I looked out  the window out of the corner of my eye, and saw Jughead standing there, smiling. I wonder why. "Oh, hi Juggie!" I said looking up with a huge smile on my face, as Jughead opened the door and walked in to the Blue & Gold then returned to the website I was on.  Juggie. I haven't called him that in a long time. My stomach gave a lurch at the forgotten nickname.

"Hey Betts." He replied. Betts. Something he hasn't said in awhile either. I loved the nickname. I guess he said it cause I called him Juggie. He took his normal seat at his computer across the table from me. I was aware of him staring at me while smiling with that big goofy smile I loved. "Why are smiling like that?" I asked, looking up after a few minutes without him moving. "I'm just happy to be writing here." He replied, quickly looking away from me and signing on to the computer.

Like I believed him. "Seriously. What's up?" I asked, looking away from what I was on. It was a hoodie that had a crown on it. I kinda wanted to buy it cause it reminded me of him, but I didn't have the money. "Nothing," He said. "Juggie, tell meee." I whined. And got another  lurch of my stomach at the name.

Jugheads POV

"Juggie, tell meee." She whined at me. There it was. That name again. I loved hearing her say it, almost as much as I loved her. She got up and walked over to end of the table and sat on it, and  I got up and stood next to her. "Tell me." She repeated , and I saw she was  staring at me through the corner of my eye, keeping my face looking at the ground. She didn't know I saw her staring at me. Screw it. I needed her to know.

I turned around to face her. Looking at my eyes,"What Jug?" she said, with that smile I fell in love with. I kissed her. Just a small one. I pulled back almost immediately, regretting my decision.

"What the hell was that?" Betty said, frowning.

Betty's POV

Jughead kissed me. Just a small one before pulling away not even 5 seconds later. "What the hell was that?" I said, looking at Jughead.

"I- I don't kn- know I jus-" he stuttered, but was cut short by me pulling him close to me by his shirt collar and whispering "That wasn't a kiss." and then me kissing him. Not a small one like his, but an actual kiss. I slung my arms over his neck as he moved to stand between my legs, putting his arms around my waist and wrapping them around me.

He broke apart the kiss after a minute or two to stare into my eyes, and found me  smiling back at him. As he opend his mouth to speak  we heard a loud squeal to our side.

Veronica's POV

I was walking down the hall to the Blue & Gold to talk to confront Betty. I knew she had a thing for Jughead. She didn't know I knew about her little crush, but I caught her staring at him when he wasn't looking, smiling the way I've never seen her smile before. Not even with Archie, who Kevin told me she was in love with. It was clear who she really loved. To me it was, at least.

How was I the only one to notice the smiles between the two of them when they thought the other, or anybody for that matter, weren't looking. The giggles Betty had at Jughead's stupid jokes. The loud laughs from him at hers. Yet the two didn't notice it. How the hell did they not? It was so god damn obvious.

Thinking to myself about how I was going to tell Betty, I looked up and found the door to the Blue & Gold. Opening it quietly, I expected to see Betty writing something on the computer, Jughead silently staring at her, giving her a huge smile, or vice versa. Instead I saw Betty sitting on the far end of the table, staring at Jug while he looked at the floor. Trying to see what was going to happen, I stayed quiet and moved to the side of the room so I could see their faces, and watched the pair of them.

"What Jug?" Betty said showing a small smile, after Jughead looked up from the ground  turning around to face her. I watched as he kissed her for a few seconds then pulled away. He looked sad when he did. "What the hell was that?" Betty asked.

"I- I don't kn- know I jus-" he began to stutter before stopping when Betty pulled him by the collar of his shirt bring him close to her. "That wasn't a kiss," Betty whispered so that I almost couldn't hear it. Then she pulled him in and kissed him.

I watched as he sunk into the kiss and moved in between her legs, snaking his arms around her waist, as she wrapped her arms around her neck, pulling him as close as possible. He pulled away with his arms still on her waist and her arms around his neck, smiling at him. He opened his mouth to speak but I cut him off by squeling.
"Yes! Finally! It took long enough!" I shouted as they turned to look at me

Jughead's POV

Betty and I whipped our heads around to the squeling and yelling. It was Veronica dancing around in a circle. How long had she been there?

"Yes! Finally! It took long enough!" Veronica shouted, dancing around in a little circle, pumping her fists in the air.
"Wait, what do you mean?" Betty asked her, looking confused. "What do you mean by 'finally'?", keeping her hands around my neck the entire time. "Well it was pretty obvious, the secret smiles and stares." Veronica said as she continued her dance, not stopping until Betty spoke again.

"Wait, you saw me looking at him?" she asked, still staring at her best friend. I turned back to look at her before saying "And me looking at her?"not until did I say that did she turn to look at me blushing slightly. "I mean of course. You guys weren't exactly subtle. I'm suprised I was the only one who noticed it." Veronica answered. "Oh, I noticed all right" we heard another voice say at the door, and I groaned from the amount of people in the room now.
