Chapter 4: I fell

Today I fell into the darkness of my past and present. I didnt think I could get up. I wanted to end everythig right then and there. Alex wouldnt let me of course. He said that death wasnt the answer. I beg to differ. Everyone I love is gone. I want to join them, I guess Im being selfish. All I can think about is myself. I forget that Alex was in the accident too. 

"Get dressed we are going out." Alex says to me as he pulls open the curtains of my bedroom letting light into the dark abyss I call a room. 

"Alex I dont want to go out. Just let me wallow in my self pity."

"No I care way to damn much about you to let you slip into the darkness of your life we are getting you help. Now get up take a shower and meet me in the kitchen in 20 minutes no if ands or butts now go!."

"Fine you dont have to be a jerk." I say as I walk into the bathroom. 

"Im not being a jerk you're just being a brat."

I get into the shower and 20 minutes later im sitting across from Alex at my kitchen table. He made me breakfast and coffee. He says I need the energy because its going to be a long day. Yay I cant wait! 15 minutes later I am sitting in the front seat of his car driving to a shrinks office. I really dont want to go but I have no choice in the matter. We pull up to a little building and we get out. He takes my hand in his making sure I wont run away. Like I would..... 

"Hello, how can I help you." A short lady sitting behind a desks asks us as we walk into the door. God they are too friendly.

"Yes, I made an appointment for my girlfriend for 12:30 with Doctor Monroe ." Alex says.

"Great! It will be about a 15 minute wait shes finishing up with a patient right now and should be done soon."

"Okay thank you."

"Annabelle Brooks?" A tall woman dressed in a black dress and has her hair in a bun calls my name. I can feel my heart pounding and I start to sweat. Alex gets up and helps me off the waiting chair and walks us toward the lady.

"Hi im Alex, Annabelles boyfriend I spoke to you on the phone. Is it okay if I come in since it's her first time at a place like this?" 

"Of course you can. This does concern you as well. Lets go to my office."

Alex and I follow Dr. Monroe to her office I am shaking but Alex is holding my hand. We step into her office and she tells us to make ourself comfortable. She offers us each a water bottle. Im to nervous to say anything so I take it anyways.

"So Annabelle, Tell me why you are here.......
