Chapter 12 - Invincible Mao Song

Amber's POV

I can see the flames, I can feel the power, and I can hear the cries of the enemies.

Saiken has single handedly just overused his new powers to wipe out the small army.

Well- I did my part. I was able to get to the ship and I out shot every archer.

"Nice shooting, Amber."

"Thanks Mona."

"Lumine should be.. this way. Be ready, Amber. We're going down!" Under Mona's feet there's a magic circle.

Razor thin line of water cuts around us and we both fall down deeper into the ship. Around us I see many men with swords and a mean look in their eyes.

I also see Lumine who is chained up and tied up to the wall. Next to her is.. a tall guy who's very buff.. I can assume that guy is Mao Song.

"Oh? What do we have here.." The tall buff guy gets up from his seat and looks at Lumine. "Your friends? Hm?"

"Don't hurt them.. please.." Lumine..

She looks scared and afraid.. it's as if.. she doesn't want us to be here in the first place..

"Fine, I shall let it slide I suppose, but I must teach these two a lesson, no? I pulled back the entire raid remember? You agreed to marry me for that, but for this? What will you do to spare these two?"

"I'll.."

"You are mine now, Lumine. You gave yourself up, remember? You did all that to protect your friends in Mondstadt. You knew that we'd win and now.. look how showed up. What more you have to give up, Lumine? What do you have to offer me now? Hm?"

This guy is really starting to irritate me!

I quickly charge up a shot and aim for Mao Song's head. Never in my life have I had the intent to kill a human.. and I never drew and charges my bow this fast before either, but Mao Song catches my shot and crushes it with his bare hands.

"Sorry Lumine. You have nothing left to give. I'm going to kill these two."

"Please don't.. I'm begging you!" Lumine's face is filled with tears and fear. "Please run! Amber! Don't look back! You two can't win!"

I look at Mona and she seems a bit terrified as well..

"Everyone, stand down." Mao Song looks around. "You boys can watch and relax! How about I go easy and make these two chicks your servants?"

The ship is filled with laughter and cheering. They all give us weird creepy looks and..

I throw a pyro bunny with a short fuse at a group of men. They all burn to death.

"A-Amber! Don't lose your cool!" Mona looks terrified.. she didn't like the fact that I'm provoking Mao Song by killing his men.

"Oh that's it." Mao Song matches his way towards us and we both back up.

Mona dashes forward and sinks into the floor them water appears next to Mao Song. Mona jumps up and charges up for a vision attack.

A blast of water doesn't even stagger Moa Song and he grabs Mona by her arm. Throwing her away against the chairs and tables.

"Mona!" I quickly glance at Mona and then I realize too late. Mao Song has already took a step and has a hold of me.

He was too fast and I got distracted. Mao Song holds my goggles around my neck and lifts me up. I try kicking his chest but it feels like I'm kicking a mountain.
