"ILANG DAYS ng hindi nadidiligan ang pechay mo Trin?"

"What the..." tinakpan ko ang bibig nito. At luminga sa paligid. Shit. "Walang preno talaga nitong bunganga mo," mahina at may diin kong sabi.

For goodness sake, we're inside of a fancy restaurant full of well-known business royalties .

Hinawakan naman nito ang aking kamay na nakatakip sa kanyang bunganga at inalis. "What?" she asked and smirked at me.

"Umayos ka. And please, mahiya ka naman. Ang lakas ng boses mo."

"Ay sus, nagtatanong lang naman ako. 'Di ba Chloe?" Baling nito sa kaharap na kanina pa busy sa kaniyang cellphone.

"Ha?" tugon nito, na halatang walang pakialam sa paligid.

"Seriously, Chloe? Is there something I need to fish out?" Lea asked, and raised her left brow.

"N-nothing, of course," sagot nito at inilapag ang hawak na cellphone sa lamesa. "So, I heard Zach is in France. Why is that?" She asked, seems catching up to our topic.

I shrugged my shoulders, "Business?"

"You're not sure? Aren't you two dating?" tanong ni Lea na tila may bahid ng pang aasar.

"Says who? We go out just for a business thing," I replied and zipped to my glass of wine.

"Oh, you mean, monkey business?" anito at binigyan diin ang salitang monkey.

"Just eat, Lea. Palibhasa kasi, walang dumidilig sa 'yo," ani Chloe.

Natawa naman ako. Mga baliw talaga.

"Wow! Coming from you?" Lea asked, teasingly.

Napailing na lang ako. Pinagtitinginan na kami dito. "Please, stop it and let just eat our dinner. FYI, it's been three weeks since we did a thing," wika ko. Tiningnan ko ang mga ito, "happy now?"

Malawak ang naging ngiti ni Lea dahil sa aking sagot. Habang napailing naman si Chloe, tila hindi makapaniwala na sinagot ko ang kabaliwan ni Lea.

They knew about what's happening between Zach and me. Except the agreement thing. I didn't tell them about the three-month contract.

It's true that Zach is in France for business expansion. But he never told me about it. Nalaman ko na lang ito kay Daddy, one time we had a family dinner. Of course, why would he, isn't it. He came to me whenever he wants. I'm just his bed warmer, nothing more.

Kaya pala nakailang ulit kami noong gabing 'yon dahil kinabukasan pala noon ay pupunta na siya ng France.

Nanghihinayang ako.

Almost a month ang nasayang sa amin. And we have a month to be in each other arms. After that, we must part ways. Treat each other like nothing happens between us.

Sad to think, but it's the truth.

But why I feel something foreign to me? Everytime I think about it, my heart throbs. It seems like something hit it. And I don't like this feeling.

KINABUKASAN AY kinailangan kong magising ng maaga para puntahan si Daddy. Hindi ko alam kong bakit, dahil madaling araw pa lang ay tawag na ng tawag. Ang sarap ng tulog ko tapos masisira lang dahil sa mga tawag niyang hindi ko nasagot.

I had twenty-four missed calls from him. Stupid me, my phone is in silent mode. Dad never called if it's not important. That's why I need to make a rush.
