👑Chapter 8: Nightmare

2nd POV

It was the next week, we were getting prepare for the Golden week training camp with the team, before our match with Nekoma (Takeda-sensei somehow got us the practice match with them). Right now the team is doing receiving drill, everyone had to have 5 successful receive before taking a break. You were doing your job as a manager and just helping out everyone.

"Here you go" you handed Yamaguchi his towel and water bottle, you have been observing them and it looks like Yamaguchi is having a hard time with the spiking practice.
"I know I'm in no position to say this, but it looks like you need some help with your spiking" you said to Yamaguchi, he looked down embarrassed
"It's okay that's what's practice are for right?" You pat his back standing confidence, he looks up blushes and chuckled at you, you can hear someone Tsk behind you.

It was Tsukishima, he was irritated at the fact that you and Yamaguchi being so close right now, was he angry at the fact that your talking to his best friend or his best friend talking to you? He walked away feeling pissed off.

[Timeskip]

"WoW is this where we'll be staying at?"
Hinata said hella hyped up, you were bumped out because Yachi couldn't come and Kiyoko house was close so she won't be staying at the camp. So it will only be you the only female, the coaches and the boys. You actually don't mind staying there with a bunch of hormonal boys, honestly they should be scare of you, your like a little gremlin.

Hinata opened every single room checking it out while he yell in excitement,
"Dude you need to calm down" Kageyama said
"But this my first training camp ever"
You were unenthusiastic, tired to say the least looking at Hinata made you even more tired. Tsukishima looked irritated again "I have to hang all day with this slovenly bunch, what's so fun about that?" You looked at him feeling a little offended that he grouped you in with the boys calling you slovenly
"Tsukishima you bastard, how can you say that when Kiyoko-San and Y/N is within a 500 meter radius of us" the stupid duo back at it again,
"Kiyoko house is near so she won't be staying, and Y/N will not be sleeping in the same room with you two" Sugawara said crushing the two boys's dream. They crawl on the ground looking dead.
"What are you two doing on the ground" Takeda-sensei opened the door to faced two nearly dead body.
"Take-Chan we can't go on anymore" Tanaka look up
"Oh Kiyoko-Chan do you need help with anything?" You asked, the two idiots looked up their faces light up when they saw you and Kiyoko together talking.

After that dinner was served, you and everyone just eat normally while Kageyama and Hinata stuffed their faces like they haven't been fed in forever.
"You can take the bath first if you want" Daichi said to you while eating
"I have to helped clean up, and beside I rather bathed last when everyone is asleep" you said

After clean up you getting ready to take a bath, you realized the other first year still have not taken a bath so you just stayed next to your stuffed, after two minutes you hear scream erupted from the hallway, and Daichi yells back at them to shut up.

You finished taking your bath you wore shorts and a long sweatshirt with a short crop top underneath, and were heading to bed. You opened the door to see your futon was already laid out, and the other first years are all knocked out. It's only the first day but it was so exhausting, your back and your shoulder was so stiff when you layed down it hurts. You fall asleep not long after laying down.

Y/N Ishikki POV

"Mommy daddy look I did it, I got 1st place, are you proud?" I ran full speed at my parents, they opened their arms as I fell in the soft embrace.
"We're so proud of our baby girl, you did amazing honey"

"We love you"

"Daddy do you have to go?"
"Yes sweetie I promised

I'll be back....."

I held on to his arm afraid he'll be gone forever. And he did.

Standing in front of his casket, I looked down, I want to cry but I couldn't.

He promised he would return.

He lied.

He never did

"Hey babygirl, I love you, I missed you so much" I looked at the voice,
"Dad? Is it really you" he opened his arm I ran full speed waiting for his warm embrace once against, he disappeared like a hologram once I approach him, instead what's waiting for me there was a dark hole, full of emptiness. I fell into it

"Shit" I woke up from my nightmare breathing heavily I broke out in cold sweat while shaking. Somewhere along the night I had already took off my long sweatshirt and yet my body was extremely hot, sweat soaked my inner crop top. I took a minute to calm my heart down. I looked at my surroundings to see the other are still sleeping, it was 3 am it still dark out.

I couldn't fall asleep after that, instead I just wake up and take a small bath, and get ready for the day. It was only 3:40 am after that. I wrapped a blanket around me went out and just sit under the moonlight for the rest of the time.
