👑Chapter 9: Neko VS Karasu

2nd POV

Finally the day we had always anticipated for, the practice match. We got off the bus, and even the air feel different, you took a big whiff of the air relaxing your nerve you were tense for no reason. Yachi was sick so she couldn't make it to the game, so it's just you and Kiyoko today. You and the team were walking into the gym when you saw Hinata talking to one of the guy from the opposite, you walk past them when your ear picked up a familiar voice coming from the two toned hair guy it was really familiar but you couldn't remember who's it was. You shrugged it off and continued to make your way into the gym.

You looked around the gym while setting your stuff down, you notice that the gym is significantly bigger than your school's and had higher ceiling. You looked over to the opposite team as they step into the gym, you observed their moves and everything they really do live up to their name "Cat" you mumbled
"What did you say?" Kiyoko asked
"Ah nothing"

The Match started not long after, and as we expected Nekoma was really good with both of their defense and offense, we managed to shows off our moves and got some points but Nekoma still took the first round. You were handing the boys their towel when a bottle rolled towards your feet stopping next to it, it came from the other team direction . You picked it up and look over to the other team, but by the time you took your first step the game was resume and everyone got back in their position. You walked over to set the bottle down when something caught your eyes, it was a small character keychain from *Game* hanging on someone's bag.

The game ended with Nekoma winning, although we did manage to win the second round. We all packed our stuff getting ready to go back, the boys were talking to each other about stuff. Finally it was time to leave, almost everyone got on the bus when you noticed a missing figure, the orange head. You saw him in a far distance and walked up to him
"Oi Hinata let's go" you nudge him

"The next time we face each other I will make sure you'd look forward to it" he said to the Nekoma setter, a ticked mark appear on your forehead, he just ignored you.
"I'll beat your ass for ignoring me" you form a fist
"Gomen, gomen" he clasped his hand apologetic, the pudding head in front of us stared before nodding his head
"Mhm" he said in the tiniest voice, you notice the keychain hanging from his back it was *game character* the one you saw earlier, you raised your eyebrow, you've been dying to asked the owner of the keychain ever since you've seen it.

"You like *game*?" You asked the setter, he looked at you shyly and nod
"Do you play it?" He nodded again, suddenly you remembered the day your mom sent you the *game* package,
"Is your user 'Kodzuken'?" He snapped his head at you with a surprised he nodded, Hinata stared at the both of you confused
"What are you two talking about?" He said, you ignore him this time
"You might not remember me but I'm *username*" his eye widened at your words, earlier when he heard your voice he recognized it but couldn't remember where he had heard it.
"Oh" he uttered

Kuroo Tetsuro POV

We got on the bus after packing up, when I noticed Kenma wasn't in the bus, this was odd cause after ever practice match he always the first one on the bus. I step out of the bus and spotted Kenma afar with 2 other figure. I approach them, and saw it was the orange chibi and Karasuno's manager, I took a closer look at her, and my heart skipped a beat.

Her hair softly fell down in front of her face her eyes gleams in the sunset, her glass dropped a little it glides against her nose.
"Kenma let's go" I took a deep breathe before calling out to him, I notice the girl glance at me a little before she said something to Kenma, then she walks away dragging the tangerine with her. He walk toward my direction looking at his phone
"Oi Kenma what did she said?"
"None of your business".

You walked to your apartment absolutely exhausted basically dragging yourself at this point, you have very low stamina so having to run around all day be killing you.

Y/N Ishikki POV

After a long warm bath I felt so much better, I wish I could've stay in the tub forever. Looking into the fridge I pulled leftover from yesterday to reheat it while grabbing my phone, scrolling through it. I saw a familiar face, it was the guy I asked for direction last time Ushijima Wakatoshi, I flinched when I saw that he is the top 3 spiker in the country heading to national. I continue to scroll when I got a call from mom.
"Hi mom"
"Hi sweetie, how are you?"
"I'm fine how about you, you sound tired"
"I'm fine I'm fine, it's just it has been a long day. Hearing your voice actually just boost my strength" I laughed at her sudden enthusiasm
"Mom you should really take care of yourself, what would I do if you get sick?"
"Haha, I'm inevitable I will never get sick" I shook my head chuckling

"How's work?"
"Going great, business is booming, how bout you bub? How's school?"
"I joined the boy volleyball club as their manager, and I'm absolutely beat"
"Right? Having to hang out all day around those boys with high stamina must've been tiring"
"Oh yeah weren't you also a volleyball manager back then?"
"I remember those days, they were fun. Anyway um Baby I have I reason why I called you" her voice dropped she sounds more serious this time

"What is it? You're scaring me"
"It's um it's about your dad"

"Dad?"
