TORRES' POV:
After Ellie got out of the hospital, I stayed with her a lot. She was always cold, like alwaaaays cold.
For the fifth time in less then 5 minutes, she shivered.
"Ellie, please let me help you."
She didn't want me to do anything, turn the heater on, bring blankets, anything.
"No! I can do this, I know I can!"
"El tell me what's bothering you please. You're not like usual, I feel you're hiding something from me."
She looked away, there was definitely something off.
"El... Please talk to me." I said sitting next to her.
"I just- I don't- I-"
Seeing she was struggling to find the words and starting to breathe faster than normal, I rubbed her back.
"Sorry for pressuring you. Take your time, calm down babe."
"It's just that- I- I don't want- to-to bother you... I just feel like I can do better, adapt faster!" She said with shaddy breaths
"Ellie it doesn't bother me at all, if it was I wouldn't be here. And you can't ask too much from yourself, you're gonna be exhausted."
"I'm just so cold, all the time. I know it's what they said, that it's normal to have a time to adapt but it's too cold I- I don't know how..."
"First of all" I said wrapping her into a warm embrace. "Let me help you, I was your personal heater then, I can be it now as well. Then, I will try my best to help you adapt. Like turning the heat-"
"NO! It's not turning the heater on-"
*glang*
"Oh my- Ellie!"
She got up way too fast, like even for a normal body it was too fast, and dropped to the floor.
"Ouch! ouch! ouch!" She moaned trying to get up.
"Where did you hurt yourself?" I asked helping her up.
"Ouuuch!"
"Crap sorry!"
"My arm..." She whispered closing her eyes in pain.
I lifted her sleeve up and saw a big bruise.
"What the heck?! Ellie is it new?!"
"No I have it since the freezing day when I fell."
"Well you must've fell on it again babe." I said hugging her.
"Yeah sorry."
"It's okay. I love you. "
"I love you too."
