Chapter 6: Warmer!

TORRES' POV:

"I'M NOT COLD! NICK I- ouch- I'M NOT COLD!!" Ellie shouted running to me, hitting herself on the door on the way.
"Woaaaah what?! You're not cold??"
"No I- I'm not warm... but I'm not cold!" She said hugging me.
"That's awesome babe, you did so great!!"

She kept getting used to her new body temperature for about two months and then she was okay.
We were all in front of the plasma when...
*blang*
We turned around and saw Ellie lying on the floor.
"Ellie!" I screamed going to her side.
"McGee, call Jimmy." I heard Gibbs say.
"El! Please wake up!"
"Torres is there any chance Bishop's pregn-"
"No there is no way she's pregnant! Ellie!"
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah!"

Jimmy checked her temperature and it was higher than her usual. He didn't know what was wrong and since she didn't wake up we brought her to the hospital.
"I don't know what's wrong with her... She doesn't have a fever or-"
"Wait! The fever went down?" I asked surprisely.
"She's at 37°C so nothing-"
"Sorry to cut you off but she has a fever. Her body temperature is 34°C. She has a trouble."
"Oh I didn't know. Let me do other tests then." The doctor said walking away.
I sat down and started laughing.
"What is wrong with you? Your girlfriend is unconscious and you're laughing?!" Asked McGee.
"It's just that- Ellie isn't normal, like we know that. But even when it comes to her health she tricks people. I love her to damn much!"
"Well, you're not wrong. Ellie's... complicated."
The doctor came back a few minutes later.
"Okay so when don't know what's causing the fever, we think it's stress so she needs to stay home for three days."
"Okay and is she awake now?"
"She keeps waking up and drifting back off but you can see her."
"Okay Torres go, we're going back to the navy yard." Ordered Gibbs.
"Yeah okay."
