Simba and Buffy

Background of the lions

Buffy, Willow, Tara, and Dawn arrived at the zoo. They went to the ticket counter and got tickets to go into the zoo. They went into the zoo.

Buffy said, "I'm going to see if I can get sign up for the volunteering program that involves big cats."
They went their separate ways. Buffy went to where the volunteers can sign up. She went inside the building. The room had oak tables with magazines on them, chairs, and a receptionist desk. Buffy was about to sit down till the other door open. An older man came through the door. His short hair was salt and pepper. He had on gold rim glasses over his hazel eyes on his ruddy round face. He is short and squat. He had on a khaki short sleeve button shirt and khaki pants. He saw Buffy.

He said, "Can I help you with something?"

Buffy said, "I'm here to sign up for volunteering and I heard that there is a spot open to take care of the newborn lion cubs."

He said, "Your name please?"

Buffy said, "Buffy Summers."

He said, "Ah yes we have been expecting you. My name is John Hammond but call me Mr. Hammond. Your teacher, Mr. Richards had already sign you up."

Buffy said, "Wow, I told him that I would love to work with lion cubs and he sign me up."

Hammond said, "Welcome to the team."

Buffy said, "So which lion cub that I get to work with?"

Hammond said, "Simba, the other lion cubs have caretakers already. Simba was unexpected."

Buffy said, "Meaning?"

Hammond said, "It means Simba is a miracle because Sarabi was infertile and we didn't know she was pregnant till Simba was born."

Buffy said, "How did you not know she was pregnant?"

Hammond said, "When we first got the lions from the Zimbabwean zoo, their file had said that only five out of six lionesses were pregnant. The lions had not only been to the zoo in Zimbabwe but a zoo in India and a zoo in Australia."

Buffy said, "Interesting. So when do I start?"

Hammond said, "Would tomorrow be good for you?"

Buffy said, "Definitely."

Hammond said, "Perfect be here at eight o'clock in the morning then."

Buffy said, "See you then."

Then Buffy left the building and meet up with her friends.
