Part 4. "Feelings Told." {TIME SKIP}

NESSA POV

I never knew how hard I would fall for a guy. Apparently it took me two months too. 

Ben isn't like any other guy.

He's honest.

He's patient.

He's kind.

He's loving.

He's adventurous.

He's one of a kind.

And there's more than that.

He's loyal, he means what he says. And that, I love.

What I feel for him is real. I hope he knows that soon.

I really do love him, he's amazing.

It's been two months since we've known each other.

We hang out everyday.

As friends.

If people knew how much I loved him, they would ask why I'm not with him right now.

For one, he doesn't love me. I'm just a friend to him.

Two, I don't want a relationship. I feel like it would be to hard.

Dad always told me relationships are hard. They never end up well. 

Especially when you both go to school. It's complicated. 

So I always believe relationships are nothing and will never end how you want them too. 

The only thing I know that was real was my parents love.

They were deeply in love. Never stopped.

Ben and I go to a lot of places to hang out. The skating rink, fast food places, restaurants...a lot.

But we mostly go to the park.

Where we first talked and had a real conversation. And had a wonderful time. 

We always sit on the grass, looking up in the sky. 

It's always perfect.

Always.

And today was going to be perfect. I was going out with Ronny and Ben.

Out to a theme park. With roller coasters, booths, games, you name it.

We decided to leave at 1:00 pm. So today, I woke up at 7. 

Just to be early and eat something. It was going to be a long car drive.

2 hours to be exact.

Dad woke up early too. He had work every day of the week. Pretty hectic, I know. 

He wakes up at 6, then gets ready, then makes breakfast. 

"Yes Vivienne, we discussed this earlier. I'll deliver it." Dad says on the phone, while making some eggs for himself.

I didn't want any anyways. 

"Hold on Vivienne, sugar cube are you sure you don't want some eggs?" Dad said.

I hated when he called me sugar cube. He's been calling me that ever since I was a button.

"Yes Dad, I had cereal. And besides, I don't have time. My friend will be here any minute." 

"Oh yeah? What friend? Where are you going on a Saturday?" he asked putting his eggs on a plate. 

"Theme park. And uh...his name is Ben..." 

"Oh?"

"Yep..."

"He got a car?"

"No..."

"What's he driving then?"

"His Mom's..."

"Nessa." he looked at me disappointed.

"What?" I answered annoyed.

"Your going out with some guy who doesn't even have his own car." 

Dad hates when I choose "guys" who don't have their own car. He thinks they're dumb and stupid for not having their own vehicle. 

I knew Ben didn't have a car.

So I didn't really tell him about Ben. I didn't even tell him he exists. He would have freaked out. 

"Your looking at someone who doesn't have their own either." I responded. 

"Ben's a good guy Dad. Just because he doesn't have his own car, doesn't mean he isn't good. Alright? I'm 17 I got it, I know him. He's good like I said."

Dad came closer to me and hugged me. 

"I know sugar cube. I'm sorry. I hope you have fun."

I smiled at him and waited outside my house for Ben to park in front of me. 

I waited for about 15 minutes. Felt like forever.

I got up because I was sitting down and walked up to Ben's car and waited for him to unlock the door to the front seat. 

"Finally. I was about to burn from this weather." 

"Sorry." Ben replied. 

"It's fine." 

We looked at each other and smiled.

"You look great." He added.

"Thanks." I replied with a soft smile.

His words always made me shiver. Yeah. I said shiver. 

A sweet guy like him? I'm so lucky to have met him. 

"Let's go pick up Ronny." he said laughing. 

"Alright." I replied.

And we headed off.
