"There are so many people!" Carter spoke in awe, his small hand wrapped in Taylor's as she looked around for your seats. You carried Scarlet on your hip. Her head was on your shoulder, her eyes closing on occasion.

"I know. It's been a while since I've been to one of these," Taylor told the wide-eyed six-year-old who looked around, spotting a few familiar faces of people he looked up to. Taylor made a mental note to introduce him to some of them when the show had some breaks. "And I'm so happy I was able to bring my beautiful little family with me tonight."

She kissed your cheek and then the crown of Scarlet's head, before finally kissing the top of Carter's, making him giggle.

He settled into the seat between the both of you. There were some eyes on you, of course. Phones out, pictures being taken every second you stayed there.

It was bound to happen with Taylor's first appearance at an awards show for the first time in months. She was still putting out music and doing videos, but she'd taken a little time away from things like this to watch Scarlet grow for the last eight months.

So, of course, everyone was really excited about her return tonight. She was nominated for major awards, although that wasn't a surprise at all. From artist of the year to album of the year, she had a lot to be excited for tonight, and you had no doubt in your mind that she was gonna win them.

The lights dimmed, the crowd began to cheer. Scarlet fussed at first, a little surprised by the sudden loud sounds. But she calmed as the three of you gave her lots of attention and love.

The show passed by quickly. You stayed seated for most of it, so you wouldn't catch Scarlet off guard by standing and sitting so often. Carter, however, was loving each performance.

Being in the very front row allowed him to witness seeing some people he's looked up to or simply thought were cool, perform for the very first time. He was happy, his little toothy smile showing the entire time; one that was just as bright as Taylor's.

Category after category was announced. Taylor had won album of the year and gave a special speech for it, but she had a plan running through her mind if she were to win artist of the year.

When her name was called for artist of the year, you were all on your feet. You gave Taylor a kiss and Carter gave her a hug and when he pulled away, you expected her to go straight up the stairs and give her speech.

But she held her arms out for Scarlet. You were confused at first but didn't hesitate to hand her over to Taylor. She placed her on her hip and held out her hand for Carter to take.

"Mommy where are we going?"

"You're gonna come up there with me."

She watched his eyes light up as she slowly led him up the steps. The screams had yet to die down and with the two members of her family right by her side, it only made them grow louder.

She let go of Carter's hand to take the award and handed it to him to hold. "Don't drop it, be very careful." She spoke sweetly, pinching his cheek with a smile after she instructed him to hold it.

She looked into the crowd with a glint of happiness in her eyes that she felt like never before. It all felt so surreal; to see you in the very front row, cheering on her as she stared out into the crowd and two of her favorite people stayed right by her side.

She cleared her throat as she leaned into the mic. Scarlet reached out to play with it, causing some laughter to erupt from the crowd, and from Taylor.

"This is so crazy!" She grinned, staring at the award in Carter's hand with her name on it. No matter how many she's honored with and no matter how many she wins, she can never really believe it. "Thank you so much for this award and to all the fans who voted for me and who have supported me through everything that's happened in my life and my career."

She paused, basking in the sounds of the cheering and the way Carter's eyes went wide before settling on you. He waved to you and you, of course, waved back happily. His eyes moved fast, looking at all the people around and waving to people that sat in the front row like Khalid and Little Mix.

"I'm so thankful for every single one of you! Also, I want to thank my beautiful wife in the front row there," she giggled, seeing your cheeks turn red. "And, my son, Carter." He looked up at her with big eyes, a gasp falling from his lips. He was so happy that it brought tears to her eyes. "And, of course, my beautiful daughter, Scarlet."

She just tried to play with the mic and chewed on her hand, causing more laughter to erupt.

"A lot in my life has changed from the day I started out in music. But things that haven't changed is how much I love and appreciate all of you for letting me live the life that I live now, and how grateful I am to be standing here today. From the bottom of my heart, thanks for all the love."

She smiled and took Carter's free hand back in hers as she walked down the steps and back to you. Carter ran to you, hugging your legs with the brightest smile you'd ever seen.

"I didn't drop it!" He spoke proudly, looking between you and Taylor.

"Good job, buddy. Thanks for holding it so securely for me. Give me a hug!"

He threw his arms around Taylor just as she handed Scarlet over to you. She kissed his head and stared up at you, finding you rubbing your little girl's back as she snuggled up to you.

"My beautiful little family. I love you so much."

"Love you!" You grinned and stole a kiss from her lips when she stood back up, Carter now on her hip.

"I guess I'll have to bring you all along more often."

"Yay!" Carter cheered.

"It sounds like fun." You spoke softly. "I'm proud of you. I know I tell you every day but I mean it every time."

"I know." She kissed your cheek lingeringly and looked between you, Scarlet, and Carter as her heart swelled with love.

She'd never felt so happy.
