What Is Love ?

After Soarin left yelling, the three of his friends were confused. Silver wasn't. He knew exactly what happened.

"What's gotten into him? He's been acting like this all month!" Fire said worried.

"Yeah. Should we go check on him?" Wave asked.

"No, let him be." Silver said flatly.

"Why? What if he does something dange-"

"No he won't. The boy's just in love." Silver cut off Lightning.

"Whaaa?" The three of them were confused now.

"Then why isn't he making any move?" Lightning asked.

"He still doesn't know he's in love. He in denial."

"Should we tell him?" Fire asked.

"Nah, let him find it out himself." Silver said.

Off to the side, Soarin was in his room, lying on his bed, and thinking about what just happened. He had no idea why he just did that. He just felt stupid. But he just defended Dash.

But he was sure about one thing. Or he thought he was. That he had no romantic feelings towards Rainbow Dash. She was a really good friend for him. Not more than that.

He also wondered what love felt like. Not like he was in love. He was just curious. He wanted to know what it felt like. So he thought about asking about it to someone.

Who would he ask? Definitely not Lightning. Wave would probably whine about how 'beautiful' his ex was. Fire is in a healthy relationship currently, but if he ask Fire, he would tell to the others and they might tease Soarin about it. So none of them.

What about Silver though? He was experienced in love. He might ask him. So he got up and checked the time. It was currently 10:56 pm. He was sure that none of them would be sleeping by this time because he knew well about them. But he had to check.

He slowly opened his door and peeked out. No one was there. So he got out of his room and went to Silver's door. He knocked once and waited for a response. Then he heard someone say "What do you want?" Silver was awake.

"I need to know about something." He replied.

"Get in." Silver said.

He then got inside and saw Silver motioning him to sit down. He sat down on his bed. He was nervous. He didn't know why.

"What do you want?" Silver asked him again.

"What does love feel like?" He asked without any hesitation. Silver looked surprised at first then his face back to normal.

"How did you meet your wife? Who did you first fall in love with? How did you feel when you're with your wife?" He began firing multiple questions at the same time.

Silver couldn't help but chuckle at the cute and curious boy.

"Look, I'm not gonna answer all of them, but I'll answer the important ones. Okay?" He was already tired of traveling to their house so he wanted some rest. Soarin nodded.

"First of all, why do you ask? Do you have a crush?"

That question got Soarin off-guard. Sure, he said he wasn't in love with Dash, but he did admire her at certain times. He was, to be honest, checking her out at random times. But he wasn't gonna agree with it even though a voice in the corner of his head said that he did.

"Nope." He said. Something inside him was telling him that he shouldn't be lying but he ignored it.

"Okayyy then." Silver dragged the 'okay' on purpose.

"Yeah okay, now answer me. How does love feel?" He asked impatiently.

"Love is a feeling that cannot be described with words, Love feels like your in heaven, but once you have a small mishap happen within your relationship, it feels like hell." He said.    

( Y'all don't come at me, I don't even know what love feels like. I've never been in love before 😭 )

Soarin stared wide-eyed at Silver. He was stunned at the statement. But now he was more curious than ever. Not curious to know about love but to feel love. Then another question came to his mind. An important one.

"What does it feel like to be in love?"

"Whenever you look at the person, you get butterflies in your stomach. You automatically blush when you see them, or even smile. And you always feel like you want to see them, or when they're with you, you stare at them without realising." He said.

Something didn't feel right to Soarin. Because he felt all of this when he was with Rainbow Dash. But he didn't like that. He didn't want to admit that he was in love. This could ruin their friendship. What if she didn't like him back? That would be so awkward.

"Okay..." He said and went away to his bed after saying his goodnight to them all.
