Twas gonna publish this in my other shorts book buuuuut I just couldn't piece it together. I know it's bad, why I don't have the heart to delete it.

Saved.

And on that note I left the device in the dark, dashing across the wooden surface as low thumping creaks and groans were heard on the table. Quickly fastening the rope I braced myself as I jumped off the table, grappling off one of it's quadrilateral legs before hitting the ground. As soon as I came into contact with the floor I rolled subconsciously before once again sprinting away from the gargantuan 'table' that was really meant for a being much, much bigger than me.

The hook, and the rope were intact... fortunately as they tend to break and tear under stress and especially when a being had been accommodated for something that required a larger durability of sorts.

Setting down my rucksack I sighed as I rummaged through the inventory, hopping to at least find a scrap of food... which never existed. Sighing as I once again forgot all about the general need for food in myself, I slumped against the cold concrete wall... knowing that I will have no choice but to go hungry again for tonight.

But enough about that, it's her day. The day she's been waiting for, and all for good reason too. I sighed a breath of anxiety, I've done all I could... now it's all up to her to figure out the rest.

And before long, it rang. An alarm to both me and her, telling her to wake up and me to well... watch her wake up, I guess. Stretching out her arms she dismissed the alarm clock from its' duty and with it, a quick stretch to awaken her half-asleep body.

Reaching for her phone and tapping away, she smiles. My guesses are between seeing a text from her soon-to-be ex-friend and my note greeting her from her slumber. Nevertheless, she'd dropped the phone on her bed gently before bolting off with a skip to take a shower to prepare for the dinner.

As much as I hate admitting how curious I was, I could not simply go along with her on her trip... well, it'd be awkward and alarming if she or he saw me anyways. So as I walked away from the crack from the wall, I flumped unto my lil' ball of cotton that I'd called bed; promptly losing consciousness...

~It's been a while since I used a time skip, but here it is~

BANG! Shook and awake, I jumped out of bed to locate the massive disturbance. Scanning the interior of my home, nothing looked out of the ordinary. Quickly leaping to the crack I looked out beyond, and my heart sank.

There, slumped up against a wall, was her. Sobbing quietly, she'd hugged her legs towards herself. Her face was buried and it didn't take an expert to find out the cause of her pain. Never thinking twice, I stepped out of the shadows.

Running out towards her, I quickly reached her shivering body. Stretching out my puny arms, I touched her jeans. Shocked from the sudden physical contact, she broke away from her arms. But her voice already broken, she didn't seem quite disturbed about the tiny man.

I mouthed the words, are you okay? She just shook her head in reply as she plumped her face back into her arms. Biting my lips, I called out to her. And as she poked her head out, I gestured a hug... in which she promptly accepted.

Lifting me off the ground, I felt a small rush of adrenaline... but it soon faded away. Hugging me close towards her, I muttered some consoling words as she cried. "It's not the end of the world, there's still plenty of fish in the sea."
