~Avisha's View~

It takes a maximum of thirty-seven hours to get to New York from Mexico by car and I'm bored out of my mind. Luis and I have sung songs, slept, eaten, and peed. Well, I've slept and Luis hasn't. He doesn't want to stop unless it's for pee breaks, or gas at a gas station. I also don't know how to drive. We would have taken turns in driving if I knew how to.

"Luis, I think we should stop for a while. We've covered twenty-four hours. Thirteen more to go. You should catch some sleep." I try to convince him. "No buts. Just park the car somewhere and get some sleep. I'll keep watch."
He sighs, "Okay, just an hour of sleep. Wake me up when you see anything unusual."
He parks the car on the desert roadside we're on and just stares at me.
"You're supposed to be sleeping." I remind him. "Right." He covers himself with a blanket and gets comfortable in his seat before closing his eyes and welcoming sleep. I smile at how cute he looks.

I take out my phone and take a picture of him before tapping on the YouTube app. There's no signal out here. I groan and get out of the car, trying to gain just a bar.
"Yes!" I've got a signal. I scroll through the numerous videos until my eyes land on a recommended video. It says, Doing extreme dares with my BFF. I tap on it and I'm met with two girls chuckling. The one with light brown hair starts speaking.
"What's up, guys? It's Jaina, welcome back to my channel. Today, I'm here with Amari."
The other girl, Amari, waves. "Hi, guys."
"On last week's video, I asked you to give us some dares, and must I ask, are you guys tryna kill me?" Jaina chuckles scrolling through her phone. "Like these dares are legit awesome! I can't wait to do these."
"Yeah, I can't wait to kick Jay's ass," Amari adds. "Everyone knows I'm gonna beat you at this," Jaina says. "Nuh-uh!" Amari shakes her head no.
"You wanna bet?" Jaina asks her with a mischievous smile. "Alright!" Amari agrees. "Guys I'm doing this for you. If I win, Amari is gonna go bald." Jaina chuckles.
"Wait! I never agreed to that." Amari chirps. "Well, you're not gonna give up now, are you?" Jaina cocks a brow at her. "I never give up," Amari says.
"You heard her guys, now this is my dare for you. Before we start doing all these dares you sent, I dare you to subscribe to my channel if you haven't already and also subscribe to Amari's. The link to Amari's Channel and our social's are down below in the description. Now let's get to the DARES!!"
I smile at the goofy faces they're making and subscribe to Jaina's Channel before clicking on the link to Amari's.

There's something about Amari that intrigues me. I just don't know what it is. I subscribe to her channel before scrolling through her videos. I stop scrolling when I see a familiar face on the cover photo of one of the videos. I tap on the video which says, I Switched Lives with My Mom for 24 hours!!
This should be interesting, but that's the least of my concerns right now.
The woman I met earlier in Yash's kitchen appears on the screen alongside Amari. Amari introduces her as her mom. There's no denying their resemblance.
Wow! Such a small world.

I click the link to Amari's Facebook profile. Luis helped me create a Facebook account earlier. I have like ten friends. Luis says it's because I haven't posted any pictures. I'm not a fan of taking pictures of myself, but I'll give it a try.
I send Amari and Jaina friend requests and look through Amari's posts. She's so beautiful. She kinda reminds me of someone. But who? It's not like I know a lot of people.

"Sia?" Luis calls. I quickly walk towards the car. "You're awake already?" He ignores my question and says, "You left me alone."
"I was just over there." I point out. He frowns. "If it makes you feel better, I'm sorry for leaving you," I apologize. A small smile makes its way onto his face.
"This is my favorite picture," I say, showing him the pic I took of him while he slept. "You looked cute."
"Oh, so I'm not cute right now?" He questions making me roll my eyes at him. "Yeah, you aren't cute Chopsticks." He sticks his tongue out at me. "My mom thinks I'm cute."
"She's your mom. She's just saying something to make you feel good about yourself. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll find someone caring like your mom to see your cuteness." I pat his head playfully. He just shakes his head at me and grabs some snacks from the backseat.
"Do you want any?" He offers me some chips. I shake my head, "No thanks."
"Okay, let's hit the road." He announces.

About thirty minutes through the drive, I speak up. "I wanna cut my hair."
"You wanna cut your hair? Why?" Luis asks. "I dunno, I just feel like shaving my hair. It seems cool and would serve as the perfect start to the new me." I respond, twisting a strand of my hair.
"New you?"
"Yeah," I nod. "Do you know any barbers?"
"If you're positive about shaving your hair then I know just the guy to take you to." I smile at his response. "Great!"

I spend the rest of the drive thinking about what awaits me in New York and what's happening back at Yash's. I hope Paravati isn't in so much trouble. I can't imagine the look on everyone's face once they found out I run away. My mom and sister probably freaked out the most. I wish I saw their faces. That would've been quite the sight.

"Are you nervous?" Luis asks, drawing my attention. "No, not really. I'm just hoping everything goes well."
"No need to worry about that. I'm right here with you. Plus I've got some things planned for us and I can't wait to spend all that time with you." He smiles at me reassuringly. I smile back, "I can't wait."
