You knocked on the door with your wand in your hand. You had no idea idea what to expect. Draco was right behind you, he also had his wand out.. just in case.

You heard footsteps behind the door. Someone was clearly in there. The door opened. Your mum was standing there. He wand pointed at you.

As soon as she saw it was you she pulled you and Draco into her arms while dropping onto her knees.

'Oh my god. It's you. Its you.. thank god!' She choked.

You held her tightly. Toghter than you ever had before. Draco decided to give you two some space.

'Is it true?' You asked.

Your mother let you go and looked at you. You could see by the look in her eyes that it was true. She got up and opened the door.

'Come inside.' She just said.

You and Draco walked in. She closed the door behind Draco. You stopped and looked at your mum.

'Y/N.. I need you to know that your dad loves you so much.' Your mother choked.

'No. It isnt true. They made a mistake right?' You asked.

You already knew it was true. You were just in denial.

'Listen.. we were looking for you and Draco after the wedding. We had been looking for days.'

Your mother tried to stay strong. She didnt want to cry infornt of you right now. She had known for days and you hadn't.

'We were on our way back home.. and we came across some death eaters. They recognised us.'

'No.. mum.' You choked.

Draco grabbed your hand. He wanted to give you two space but he felt horrible for you.

'Your dad.. he...' she swallowed and tried to blinl her tears away. 'He died protecting me. I- I couldn't do anything about it.'

As soon as she confirmed your fear you broke down crying in her arms. Your mother held you tightly. She tried her best to stay strong but she couldn't.

'I should've gone with you guys, this is all my fault.' You sobbed.

'Its not.' Your mother sniffed. 'We should've been more careful. This is no one's fault.'

Your mother tried to calm your down as your heartbreaking cries filled the house. Draco almost couldn't stand it. It broke his heart to hear you like that.

'I couldn't even say goodbye.'

'He knows you love him more than anything. He knows honey.'

She let you go and cupped your face. She wiped your tears away with her thumbs. You turned back but Draco wasn't there.

'I'm sure he's here somewhere. You know he never had a good father figure until your dad. It must be hard on him too. Maybe go look for him, I'll make you two some food.'

You got up and walked through the house. You hoped he was okay. Walking through the house actually calmed you. It was good to be home.

You found Draco in the living room. He was staring at some pictures. You slowly walked over to him and grabbed his arm. He didn't turn his head.

'Draco?'

He didn't say anything. You wiped a tear from his cheek.

'Its okay.' You said while hugging him tightly.

He turned to you and pulled you against him. He kissed the top if your head and laid his head on yours.

'I'm sorry I left. I couldn't hear you cry like that. It hurts too much.'

'I get that. Don't worry.'

You looked up and kissed him. He kissed you back and held you tightly. You pulled back and looked at him.

'Are you okay?' You asked.

He nodded.

'He was my first ever sort off father figure.. but I cant imagine how it must be for you and your mother. I thought I'd give you two some space.'

'Youre part of our family. You can be sad too.'

Draco sighed and rubbed your back. Your mother walked in with some food and drinks. She looked at Draco. You let him go and looked at her.

'Come here.' She said while opening her arms.

Draco hesitated but gave her a hug. Your mother gave him a comforting hug.

'Its okay. Of course we get this is hard for you too. Don't worry, your feelings are valid.'

She let him go and you sat down on the couch. You each grabbed something to eat. You weren't very hungry but didn't want to be rude.

You took a small bite and watched your mum walk in again. She sat down with you.

'So what have you been up to?'

Draco ran his hand through your hair. He pulled you out of your trans. He kissed your forehead.

'Youre cold. Come to bed.' He said.

You sighed and hugged him. He hugged you back right away. He gently led you towards the bed. He let you go.

'You need sleep.'

You climbed into the bed. Draco covered you with the sheets. He tucked you in and kissed you shortly before waking around the bed and laying down besides you.

You snuggled against him and took a deep breath. Draco kissed your head and stroke your back gently.

'Will you be able to sleep?' He asked.

You shrugged.

'Try.'

You nodded and slowly closed your eyes. Draco held you tightly against him. You wrapped your arms around him.

'I love you.' You said. 'Thank you for being here for me.'

You sat up a little and kissed him.

'I love you too. I'd be a horrible person if I wouldn't be here for you.'

You laid your head back on his chest, where you tried to sleep..
