Week One
Pouring, it was pouring. Shigaraki was soaked and he's only been outside the hideout for less than five minutes. He needed to find a place for himself that wasn't obvious to whatever servants One for All was going to be sending after him, preferably somewhere with an overhead cover so he could dry off.
As he made his way down the streets of late night Tokyo, Tomura thought about what you were doing right about now. It was late for sure, but what time was it? Was it still the same day he left your apartment, or was it the next day?
Whatever the time was, it has been only hours since he left you on your own. How he wished he could be on your couch right now, warm and dry instead of walking the sidewalks in cold, pouring rain.
Suddenly, an idea popped into the man's head. Shigaraki remembered an abandoned storage facility, though it was few hours walk. Whatever, the further from you the better, at least until he knew for a fact both you and himself were safe.
The thought of shelter driving him, the blue-haired man's leg picked up speed. Puddles that formed from the weather splash as his shoes ran through them, and Shigaraki cringed feeling his shoes and socks become more and more soggy.

You still lied awake in bed, twisting and turning beneath your sheets. Your alarm clock read five o'clock in the morning, in about another hour you we're going to have to start getting ready for work. Today was Monday, the start of a new week, also the start of a new routine without Shigaraki.
The weekdays at the café weren't as bad as the weekends, but the days were still busy, and you needed your energy to deal with customers all day, but of course you didn't get a wink of sleep. You thought about texting Shigaraki, but figured it'd be too fast, you wanted to give him more time to get safe and settled before contacting him, plus talking to him was supposed to be extremely limited because of the dangerous circumstances.
Your phone's screen lit up and began to vibrate on your bedside table. Your stomach filled with butterflies hoping it was Tomura, but your face fell when you saw that it was Sachi calling you. You answered your friend's call.
"Hello?" You asked, the night's bad events apparent in your sleepy yet slightly annoyed tone.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N, but can you come in early? Shuko isn't feeling well today and we need some extra help prepping this morning." Your friend was clearly hesitant about asking you, but she was still your friend, so of course you agreed.
"Thank you so much! You're the best!" With that, you hang up and let out a groan.
"Looks like today's gonna be a long one." You mumbled to the stuffed Yoshi still in bed with you as you pulled your covers off and slid off of the side of your mattress.

The sun had begun to rise and finally the rain started to let up. Shigaraki was still pushing himself to get to those storage units before the sun got too high in the sky. He was exhausted, all he wanted to do was collapse, his clothes were heavy with water and it was slowing him down, not to mention it was winter now, and he felt like a walking popsicle.
His legs felt as if they were going to snap in half, whether it be from being so cold outside or being so strained from running he didn't know.
Finally, he saw the street that lead to the storage units. He started to run as fast as he could manage, his breathing heavy and filling with air with a fine mist.
Shigaraki turned down the street and without hesitation climbed the fence that was blocking the way. He was so close, so close to a roof being over his wet hair. His feet hit the pavement with a splash.
The man took a moment to look around at all the garage looking units, he figured he'd choose one far in the back just in case someone, for some reason, came near the place. Quickly, Tomura sped walked near the back of the rows and rows of metal containers until he reached another fence.
"This one will be fine." He muttered to himself. Hopefully, the unit wasn't locked and he could open it without too much of a struggle.
Shigaraki crouched down and put both hands on the cold handle of the unit, he took in a deep breath, which burned his lungs because of how icy-cold the air had become, and pulled with all his might. Thankfully, it was unlocked. With a loud whine from rusty metal, the unit was open and empty.
Well empty except for a coat rack that has gathered an exponential amount of dust over the time it's been inside the metal box. This was good thing though, because Shigaraki could hang his clothes to dry.
The blue-haired man pulled off his shirt and wringed as much rain water as he could from it before hanging it up on the coat rack, next came his pants and socks. Though he was still cold in nothing but underwear, it was better than being cold and wet.
He sat down near the back of the storage unit, his knees close to his chest. This was embarrassing, but luckily it was only he and himself. Shigaraki put his chin on his forearms which were crossed atop his knees, as a yawn escaped his lips.
After just minutes, he fell asleep.
___"Thank you again for coming in early, Y/N!" Sachi said to you, flinging her arms around your torso. You gave a half smile to her and lazily hugged the girl back.
"It's no problem, I just want Shuko to feel better." You replied.
Your friend noticed the dark circles and bags underneath your eyes, and a concerned look overtook her plain features. "What's wrong?" She asked you, concern clear in her voice.
"Couldn't sleep." You looked away from her and down at your hands, not wanting to explain the night's depressing events.
"Why?"
"Just couldn't, let's start prep."
Long work hours turned into even longer days, as you asked for overtime everyday because going home and being alone with your thoughts was nothing less of modern day torture.
Instead of your seven or eight hour shifts, you started working late into the night until closing. You took up most of the cleaning and serving, doing anything and everything to keep your mind off of Shigaraki and where he was, how he was.
The next Sunday came and still no word from Tomura. One week felt like decades because of the exhausting work days and even worse sleepless nights.
Sachi questioned you more and more as the days went on, but you gave excuse after excuse to your weird and self destructive behavior.
How long was it going to be before Shigaraki came back to your apartment, or at least shot you a small text to update you, or to let you know that he was okay?
